Prompt 7: Flowers
Warnings: This one is really sad, and really short. I apologize in advance.

She was dead. She had taken a hit for him and had ended up sacrificing her life for his obsession. People tried to tell him that it wasn't his fault, but everyone knew it kind of was. If it weren't for his OCD then the love of his life would still be alive. That damn Kishin was symmetrical, even the strands of spit that fell from its mouth made perfectly symmetrical puddles on the ground.
He had been frozen, frozen in pure awe. In his mind, the monster was so beautiful. It had lunged at him and he couldn't move. Before he knew it his weapon had transformed and taken the hit for him, it took that to realize what he had just let happen.
She was practically torn in two. One sad part of her side was all that was holding Liz Thompson together. It would reason to know that she was dead, then and their. But Kid's mind couldn't comprehend that. In his mind, she was still alive, and now he had to kill the demon that put her life in danger.
So he did. He killed the thing and went straight over to Liz's body, letting Patty deal with the left over soul. He grabbed the top half of her and pulled it into his lap, tears falling uncontrolably once he saw the extent of the damage. It was then that he knew that she wasn't coming back. She was gone. And all he could think of was the words he had wanted to say to her for the longest of times, and never did.
"I love you."
He said them now, but they didn't hold the same meaning. She would never hear them, never get a chance to respond. It was obvious to everyone else that she loved him too, but he couldn't accept that. Not until he heard her tell him would he ever accept that she did love him. He would never forgive himself either. Not until they were together again, wherever it is that the dead souls go after death. Because they would be together again. Reapers did die. It just took a long time.
So he vowed, that everyday he would but flowers on her grave. And everyday until he himself died, he did.
Not one flower was ever symmetrical.
AN: I did a dying Kid one, so I thought I'd do a dying Liz one. I apologize for the shortness, but, well, I have no excuses. This is for KidLiz week on dA, and so... yeah. If you're waiting for any updates from other things, those are coming. Its just I got sick, and then I lost EVERYTHING so once I get it back I'll do one giant mass update ^^;
