A/N: Wow it's been a while since I've written much of anything but these two have me caught in their net, I just can't get them out of my head so here is the beginning of my multiple chapter story. I hope you enjoy it!

Blaine sat down tiredly staring at his phone, these texts were really getting annoying. He still wasn't quite sure how the kids from his old school had got a hold of his number but they were really starting to piss him off. He sighed and started the slow process of deleting the texts from his phone.

As strong as he was he couldn't help the pains that shot through his chest every time he read the words Faggot or Fag in the subject line. Sure he was proud of what he was but these words hurt, that was the reason he ran in the first place, he was weak.

He finally finished deleting the offensive texts, and smiled when he saw one from his new friend Kurt.

He had met Kurt when he had come to spy on the Warblers just over a month ago, and ever since then they had kept in contact meeting up about once a week for coffee and to talk about their weeks. Blaine was kind of like a mentor to Kurt as someone who had already escaped the bullying from public schools.

Although Blaine really looked up to the younger boy, Kurt had not allowed the taunts of his classmates scare him away like Blaine had, he was still going to school and staying strong.

Blaine texted Kurt back arranging for them to meet up for coffee at the quaint coffee shop around the corner from McKinley High at 6:00 that night. When Kurt confirmed the time Blaine shut his phone with a satisfying snap grabbing his bag and heading to class

Kurt walked into the school breathing in the familiar scent of cleaning supplies before pulling his bag closer and walking as quickly as possible to homeroom. He really did not want to run into anyone today, he had plans with Blaine tonight and he was hoping that for once they could have a conversation without him whining about the bullies.

Unfortunately before he could reach the safety of homeroom, one of the Neanderthals of the school came up behind him and ripped his bag off his shoulder, dumping the contents out all over the hall. Kurt stared at him defeated, why today?

The jock grinned before dropping the bag in the middle of the hall as he walked past he leaned down to whisper in Kurt's ear 'that's what you get for being a faggot.' At these words tears appeared in Kurt's eyes, but he blinked them away refusing to give the jock the satisfaction of seeing him cry.

He bent down and picked up his books with as much dignity as he could muster, and then placed them in his bag continuing on his way to class.

Upon arriving in class he threw himself in his seat mulling angrily over what had happened. Reflexively he reached for his cell phone to text Blaine before remembering he had a test first period and would not be able to respond.

Kurt chewed on his lip anxiously, what now? Then on impulse he took out his cell phone going through his old texts selecting some to read through the first was the text finalizing his plans with Blaine tonight, and the final one was the text Blaine had sent him over a month ago at the beginning of their friendship, it was only one word but it meant the world to Kurt.

He smiled down at the text that simply said 'Courage' before putting his phone away and focusing on the front of the room and the teacher who was starting the lesson.
