She watched as the TARDIS disappeared, despairing inwardly. Part of the reason she traveled across parallels was to stay free, and see the universe! But now that her world was sealed, she was stuck.

A gilded cage it seemed to her: she had the Doctor, but no TARDIS. She had his heart, but there was only one of them. He was the Doctor she fell in love with, yet he wasn't. He was half Time Lord only, and that was bittersweet.

The Doctor took her hand in his. She looked down, not so much surprised as startled. Their fingers were intertwined, and only she had the power to keep it that way.
