Blood spilled onto the ice bed, the blood sinking though before some slipped into the Sea Of Hoolemere, screeches were heard amongst the group; their beaks covered in the crimson, three bodies lay before the flock. All a tattered mess of flesh and feathers.
On a rock in the distance, a young owl spied; shaking with fear. If he was flying, he would of gone yeep. He loathed his brown feathers that made him ever more visible on the icy plate around him, but he manged to stay unseen for the longest time. Over some time, he moved to get a closer look. These birds were monsters, absolute monsters.
An owl looked up from his feeding, looking around in alert as gravel fell from the spotted owl's hiding place. He freezed. The owl opened of his beak before letting out a loud and piercing screech; Alerting all the other owls.
They rose up into the blackness of the sky, not even the moon to lead them to the spotted owl, not a star or fleck of light. These, were monsters.
Affra took flight and sped into the mist of the Sea Of Hoolemere.
