Prince Sonic The Hedgehog, heir to King Jules The Hedgehog, was running around the yard of his father's castle. Then, something caught his eye: a young Pink Hedgehog alone. He noticed she was crying.
"Mommy! Daddy!" she said.
"Hey, are you okay?" Sonic asked.
The girl shook her head.
"I got separated from my parents." the girl said.
Sonic looked upset. Then the Speedy Blue Hedgehog had an idea.
"Want me to help you find your parents?" Sonic asked.
"Really?" the girl asked. "You'd do that for me?"
"Of course! I always help those in need!" Sonic replied, winking.
"Oh, thank you!" the girl cheered.
"I'm Sonic, by the way!" he said.
"Amy!" she said back. "It's nice to meet you!"
It took them ten minutes until they found Amy's parents.
"Thank you, young One!" her father said.
"You are in our debt!" the mother said.
"Well, you decide to show your face in my kingdom after I banished you, huh, Mephiles?" a voice from behind Sonic asked. "And why are you interacting with my son?!"
"WHAT?!" Mephiles snapped. "That blue kid is your son?!"
"I take back what I said! You are not in our debt!" Amy's mother said.
"But--" Sonic tried to say before his father cut him off.
"And you: what were you thinking, trying to make friends with their daughter?!" Jules yelled.
Sonic bowed his head.
"Dad, don't you think that maybe whatever happened between you two should be a thing of the past?" he asked.
"No, I don't!" Jules replied. "Stay AWAY from my Kingdom, Mephiles, or else you will be executed!!!"
Mephiles glared at Sonic.
"Stay away from my daughter, understand?!" he asked.
Sonic nodded.
"But, Daddy--" Amy said.
"I forbid you from ever interacting with him!" Mephiles replied, not letting Amy speak.
Sonic started crying. All he wanted was to make a friend, but that certainly wasn't going to happen.
"You're in big trouble, young man!" Jules said, dragging his son by the arm into the Castle.
Amy and Sonic were looking at each other and they both looked sad.
Bye. Amy mouthed to Sonic.
Bye. Sonic mouthed back.
Amy then looked away, and she didn't turn her head back to look at Sonic. This made him start crying silently. He actually felt some kind of connection between him and Amy; a connection that made him fall in love with Amy. He was then sent into his room and couldn't leave until he 'straightened out'.

"Mom, Dad, it's not fair! Sonic was being nice to me! He's nothing like his father!" Amy said, crying still.
"I'm sorry, Amelia Jr., but he's the son of the enemy." Amy's mother said.
"Now go to your room, young lady!" Mephiles said.
Amy sighed and went to her room.
