Prologue
In the year 395 CE, the last known vision of the Oracle of Delphi was made. The Oracle entered a trance and had the vision the day Theodosius I, the Emperor of the Roman Empire, closed down the Oracle for good. As the Oracle had made numerous incorrect visions in the past few decades and had lost all of its prestige and glory, few figured this final vision to amount to anything and almost didn't record it. Fortunately, it was.
In the time of Darkness, the product of smoke and flame will be born. The Darkness will disperse the smoke and extinguish the flame but will fall to the Heir. The Heir will be forgotten and rise to power along side the Darkness. The people will see the Heir as a beacon to dispel the Darkness as the Heir will control power unfathomable. The Heir will walk as a god among mortals; neither in the light nor in the dark but in between. A great battle between the Light, the Darkness and the Heir will usher in a new era with balance between light and dark. Death will precede the Heir before the Heir reigns.
Those that heard the vision told by the Oracle thought that it would be a matter of days, months or even a few years for this to come to pass. When it didn't, hope started to fade and the vision's words were lost to the sands of time.
Now, the wheels of fate have begun to turn and the final words of Apollo's Oracle are becoming to come true, however no one will know as they were just the incoherent babblings of a fraud. The fates allowed the words to be forgotten until the time was ripe. As the temple that housed the Oracle was restored after the last world war, an unnoticed niche that housed the final vision appeared. It would later be confirmed by Curse Breakers to have residual magic from a spell long forgotten other than it was extremely powerful to have never been noticed before. This happened right as the future looked to get a bit darker.
AN: This will not be a God!Harry and probably not a Super!Harry story.. For those of you who have studied the writings of ancient civilizations you can understand the bit of embellishment done for dramatic affect, so this will equate Harry to being on par with Dumbledore and Voldemort and probably a bit more powerful. As this is my fist fanfic, let me know what you think both good and bad. I'm still debating on whether I will continue it or not, but needed to get this down to see where it went from here.
