Twilight Sparkle watched her dear friend Fluttershy. She forgot for a moment that gusting winds of the Pegasus tornado threatened to tear them away from the giant anemometer. She looked at the water that was just barely able to move upwards. Spike said something, but the meaning was lost as she searched within herself for a way to motivate dearest Fluttershy.
She flipped her head around and shouted over the wind. "Do it for Equestria! Do it for Rainbow Dash! Do it for yourself!"
Do it because you're beautiful when you put aside your insecurities to help your friends. Do it because I love to watch you try your best at something you hate, but do anyway because you never loose your loyalty. Do it because watching you find you're good at something and forgetting how you make yourself feel brings me such joy. Do it because it pains me to see you so insecure, and I'd like more than anything in the world to be the one to make you understand what a truly amazing pony you are. Do it because ponies can become as close to you as any animal. Even though they answer when you talk to them. Ponies can tell you all they feel if you'd just get close enough to let them. I wish I could.
Do it because I need to see your smile as the winds hit you, and you'd secretly enjoy it. Do it because all that wing power will blow your beautiful long hair back, and for a while you won't be hiding behind it. Do it because I know you'd get a thrill and I want more than anything to see you find happiness. Do it to prove to yourself your self worth, and that you can make a difference. Do it for me! But do it for yourself...
The violet mare floated a pair of goggles her way, fighting against the current of the tornado. Fluttershy opened her eyes and blinked away her tears.
Twilight Sparkle locked eyes with her. No longer trying to get the message of motivation across, but trying desperately to say through her eyes how she really felt.
Fluttershy! Stop being so insecure. You have so many talents that set you aside from every other pony. I like you Fluttershy! Just give me a sign that you know! At least consider what it would be like for us to be together. I love your pink hair...
Fluttershy of course didn't understand. Her thoughts never conceiving that Twilight Sparkle wanted her to know more than her motivation to take the goggles, set down Angel and fly into the swirling winds. Of course she didn't.
Twilight watched her fly in. It was just how she imagined it. The water rose. The tornado had worked. All because of her. That one pony. Everything happened in whir. Everyone celebrated. Fluttershy was Rainbow Dash's star flyer. She dare not approach for a congratulations. Anything she would say would not be enough. Everything she wanted to say would be too revealing. She simply held her head up high, and walked away from the crowd, Spike trailing behind her.
Thanks for reading! While re-watching the episode for the exact quotes there was such a Twilidash moment! They were all holding onto each other fearing Fluttershy's reaction for her .5 score! Then while double checking the storyline after I wrote this I could have done things... better? After Fluttershy flies in, things aren't just a whir... Twilight says things, and jumps up and down with Spike. But her mind and heart of course are in other places, so I figured it could stay. Also, while she still "walks away from the crowd" they just follow her a tiny bit later... and her head wasn't being held as high as I remember. Oh well, I still think it works... I don't own the characters, and reviews are more than welcome!
