David sang along sadly to the radio as he swept his room clean, not noticing Gadzooks and Golly Gosh plugging their ears with cotton.

Suddenly, he stopped singing and sweeping and stood there. The two dragons glanced at him, a confused frown forming across their faces.

David dropped the broom, grabbed his cell off his desk, and waited for… something.

Once the song stopped playing, the radio host came on and told the listeners the number to do a song request. David dialed the number quickly, held the phone to his ear, and waited.

Zanna lied on her bed, listening to the radio, and gazed out her window, trying not to think about David.

She sighed irritably, not liking how, whatever she thought about, her thoughts drifted to David. Besides, I saw my ex earlier, Zanna reminded herself. She reached her hand over and turned up the radio.

The phone rang on the radio and the host picked it up. "Hello! Who is this and what song would you like to hear?"

"Hey, my name is David Rain and I would like to hear Hey Soul Sister by Train." Zanna's eyes widened.

"Like to share why you want to hear that certain song, Mr. Rain?"

"… Well, I just want to let a certain girl to know I'm sorry and I still love her."

Guilt weighed in Zanna's stomach as she found herself whispering, "I love you too."

The host stayed silent before saying, "Well, I hope she's listening now. Good luck, kid."

Zanna closed her eyes and listened, a soft smile playing across her face.

Hey! Hey-y-y-y-y! Hey-y-y-y!

Your lipstick stains

On the front lobe of my left side brains…

I knew I wouldn't forget ya

And so I went and let you blow my mind

Your sweet moonbeam!

The smell of you in every single dream I dream

I knew when we collided, you're the one I have decided

Who's one of my kind

Hey, soul sister, ain't that Mr. Mister on the radio, stereo?

The way you move ain't fair, you know!

Hey, soul sister, I don't wanna miss a single thing you do-ooh

Tonight!

Hey! Hey-y-y-y-y! Hey-y-y-y!

Just in time! I' so glad you have a one-track mind like me!

You gave my life direction

A game show love connection we can't deny-y-y-y!

I'm so obsessed

My heart is bound to beat right out of me untrimmed chest!

I believe in you; like a virgin, you're Madonna!

And I'm always gonna wanna blow your mind…

Hey, soul sister, ain't that Mr. Mister on the radio, stereo?

The way you move ain'y fair you know!

Hey, soul sister, I don't wanna miss a single thing you do-ooh…

Tonight-

The way you can cut a rug

Watchin you's the only drug I need

You so gangster, I'm so thug

You're the only one I'm dreaming of! You see,

I can be myself now, finally!

In fact, there's nothing I can't be!
I want the world to see you be with me

Hey, soul sister, ain't that Mr. Mister on the radio, stereo?

They way you move ain't fair you know!

Hey, soul sister, I don't wanna miss a single thing you do tonight!

Hey, soul sister, I don't wanna miss a single thing you doo-oo…

Tonight!

Hey! Hee-eey! Hee-ee-ee-ee-eey! Hee-ee-ee-ee-eey! Tonight!

Hey! Hee-eey! Hee-ee-ee-ee-eey! Hee-ee-ee-ee-eey!

Tonight.

Zanna sighed and sat up, a few tears welling up in her eyes. Standing up, she walked over to her closet, opened it, pulled out a few bags and a suitcase. "I know how I'll make it all better," Zanna murmured and started to pack.
