Summary: E/O Drabble Challenge. Dean's been missing for a week, buried alive for 27 hours of that week—it's Sam to the rescue!
Challenge word: Steady
A/N #1: Yeah, sticking to 100 words and no more was really, really hard for me—and I'm new at this, so I hope this is okay. Also, let's just assume that Dean had some source of air set up for most of his time buried. Lastly, to those who are wondering about my WIP, I promise, now that I've got some more time on my hands, I will definitely be giving it my attention this week! Sorry for its lateness—the next chapter really is mostly done.
Also, Happy Birthday, Woodburner!!!
"Steady, steeaady. You with me now?"
"Ye-Yeah."
"Thirsty?"
Dean nodded against Sam's chest.
"Easy, there's plenty," Sam said, easing the bottle away from Dean's greedy, paper-dry lips.
"How long? How long, Sam?"
"One week."
"No. How long in there?"
Sam's eyes slid to the coffin. He shivered. "A day—about 27 hours."
Dean's shoulders shook with mirthless laughter. "God. Felt like years."
"Tell me about it. He said you only had twenty-four. Ready to go?"
"Naw." Dean let his head fall into the crook of Sam's elbow. "Not yet. It's nice here, nothing but air and stars."
"Okay, Dean. Okay."
The End.
A/N #2: Reviews are relished!!! Thanks for reading.
