A/N: Based on a current and true story. Alternate Universe. Sorry for the bad writing, I have not written anything for a while, especially anything creative. Current happenings have pushed me to write these events down. I have changed quite a few familial relations as well as character personalities in this story to better suit the actual true story (please do not read if this will bother you). I hope you can enjoy this story. This is dedicated to Joey, the love of my life.
I don't own Bleach or AIM.
Forever and Always
Click click tap tap. The sound of typing followed by the familiar noise of a sent message on AIM filled the 16 year-old, Rukia Kuchiki's, room.
Rukia felt more comfortable chatting with random people on the internet than chatting with her friends from school. She was the wallflower among her group of friends at school. She stood at the sidelines watching as supposed "best friends" gathered up boyfriends and completely forgot about her. She didn't mind since she had a group of friends that would chat with her whenever she was online. It made her feel wanted and alive.
Her family was…in lack of better terms, overprotective. Her father, Byakuya Kuchiki, is the youngest of seven children from a moderately wealthy family. Her mother, Hisana Kuchiki, is the middle of five children from a poorer family. Byakuya was a construction worker and owner of his own construction company, but a freak accident left him disabled and unable to continue working. Instead, he acted as a Japanese liaison for his family's condos across the seas. Hisana made a name for herself, but her work often meant that she was unable to watch Rukia grow up. She is the current manager in the OR department at Tokyo Hospital. Both Byakuya and Hisana love Rukia very much, thus kept her away from the real world whenever possible. Rukia was home-bounded, never getting to hang out with friends outside of school.
Rukia didn't mind, she had AIM buddies that talked to her, made her feel special, made her feel like she was needed in this world. One buddy in particular made her feel a deep connection. She would wait patiently until he signed on to AIM, which was very scarce. Maybe today he'll be on, Rukia thought with a slight smile.
ZangetsuOnFire has signed on.
