Okay. I know this chapter is super short. I just really wanted to go ahead and put something out. I've had the creative juices flowing all day and was itching to write something and publish it as soon as possible. Please enjoy!

Pieces of ceiling fall from above me coating everything in dust and rubble. The sound of a machine gun firing drowns out the screams of the people in the Gotham Bank. I cower behind a tellers podium, a dead man's arm is hanging over the edge, slowly dripping with dark red blood.
"Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha." A man growls as he enters the room. From where I'm sitting, I can only see the top of the man's head. But as soon as I see the green, I know who it is. The sound of of gun fire ceases and I hear more footsteps enter the room.
"Spread out and make sure no one else is here. Frost- unlock the vault." Joker's gravely voice barks at his henchman. I freeze, knowing that I'll be found instantly. I squeeze my eyes shut, hoping I don't die today. Footsteps get closer and closer to where im hidden and stop suddenly. I can hear the man breathing and I open my eyes to the tall, pale man standing above me.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here."
"Please, Mr. Joker! Don't kill me! I'll do anything." I plead, tears streaking down my face.
"Oh, but Dollface, what would be the fun in that?" He grins, cocking his gun. Suddenly, sirens are blaring.
"Uh, boss, we need to go, like, NOW!" One of his henchman says, his arms filled with cash. The Joker growls and walks back around the desk. I turn around and watch him and his henchmen run. As he leaves, he turns around and winks.
Wait- did the Clown Prince of Gotham just wink at me after threatening to kill me?
