Reaching into the cabinet, Bobby pulled down a box of alphabet cereal and set it on the counter. He grabbed a bowl and a spoon, then tucked the cereal box under his arm as he walked over to the kitchen table. He looked up as Andy padded into the kitchen.
"Morning, sunshine," he said, setting the stuff on the table.
She pulled the fleece blanket tighter around her shoulders and grumbled. "Tell me again why we got up so early?"
He smiled. "I have to have a reason?"
"You don't do anything without reason," she said, then added, "Is that alphabet cereal?"
"Yeah, it is," he grinned, "You want some?" She shuffled over to him and smiled up at him.
"Sure."
He put his hands on her shoulders and kissed her softly. "Okay."
"I still think it's too early," she mumbled, smirking. He shook his head, smiled, and walked over to the cabinet to grab her a bowl and spoon.
Reaching up to open the cabinet, he caught sight of his wrist. Over his shoulder, he said, "Oh, hey, can you go get my watch? I think I left it in the bedroom." He pulled down a bowl.
Andy made a face, adjusted the blanket around her shoulders and headed down the hallway. He watched her a moment before going over to the table. He put the bowl on the table and opened the box of cereal. Instead of pouring her some, he pushed the box over lightly, so the cereal spilled towards her seat.
From the hallway, but without turning around, she called to him, "Klutz." He smiled and walked around the table. He spelled out some words with the cereal letters. He walked back around and sat in his seat, waiting for her to come back. He looked up as she came back into the kitchen.
"I can't find…" she trailed off, smiling slowly as she looked at the cereal words. "Proposing with cereal, handsome?"
He smiled, getting up and walking over to her. "Answering a question with a question, beautiful?"
She grinned, grabbed some of the cereal and spelled out an answer. Turning to him, she wrapped her arms and the blanket around him.
"Better?" she asked, smiling brightly up at him.
"Yes."
