Part 1 (My first fanfic)

Melody was walking down the cobbled pavement. The bus had not stopped where she was meant to get on for her long journey to high school. The wind blew her long, brown, wavy hair from her pale face, revealing her big, emerald green eyes. She sighed and crossed the holding traffic on the road. It was one of those days where she would have to walk. Melody rustled through her school bag and found her iPhone. The time was 8am. It would take her half an hour to get to school on her skateboard, and then she would have a remaining 15 minutes to get to class. Well, she didn't have any other option after all, her auntie was already at work and her brother was finally at a job interview he had applied for a month ago.

Melody skated and skated and skated some more before she eventually reached "The Highlights High School". "Stupid name" Melody mumbled under her breath as she zoomed past it, her hair billowing out behind her. Suddenly, a talk, dark figure ran past her, sending a series of chills down her spine. The shock took her back off her skateboard onto the main road. Headlights were ahead of her as she felt a sharp pain in her wrist. She was sprawled across the pavement in an odd position. The breaks of the Chevy truck slammed before her while she scrambled to get up. "OH SWEET JESUS, ARE YOU ALRIGHT? OMG, I'LL GO TO PRISON!" the man shouted out of his window, his voice breaking near the end as Melody still tried to scramble to her feet. "Crap, my ankle" Melody whispered in pain as a cold, light hand grabbed hold of her shoulder.

Melody swirled around, limping to see a boy with golden, brown hair and black eyes. Her heart skipped a beat. His cheek bones were perfect and his lips were moulded into a luxurious curve. Melody gazed at him, in a trance while he looked at her with a concerned expression. This exchange between them ended shortly when the boy suddenly span around and walked off. Melody had felt numb, like all the pain had drifted away when his eyes poured into hers. It was also awfully quiet until now. It was like a bubble had popped. The noise whammed into her ear drums, the sharp pain flooding back into her ankle. Screams, gasps and a warm sensation drizzling down her cheek finally brought Melody back to reality.

"Oh my goodness, darling don't put all your weight on that ankle, lie back down. It will all be fine, don't panic!" squealed Melody's biology teacher, Mrs Lancoss. Overreacting as usual thought Melody while she slumped back onto the pavement, squeezing her eyes shut as she felt the pain strike her again.
