It came as an utter shock. Words that hurtled towards him, crushing lungs, and leaving him out of breath. He stood in a daze as the news processed in his brain. Slowly the churning wheels routed the appropriate response, but a spy infiltrated the division and passed along false data.

The laugh was subtle. A small quirk in his lips allowed for the sound to come out with a minuscule shake of his body. His eyes closed and at that moment he truly believed that once he opened his eyes this dream would prove false. Yet as the seconds ticked by and he eventually opened his eyes open allowing reality to give him a firm slap in the face. The chuckling died down and his lips turned downward. The mirth that once remained in his body quickly switched sour as the realizing began to slowly dawn on him.

"You're really pregnant?" He questioned as the woman gave a nod of her head in affirmation. Almost instantly, he focused towards the man next to her awaiting for conformation at her yes. The man gave a small sight towards the half-elf as he closed his eyes and nodded his head.

His eyes switched between the two, his throat constricting as his thought continued to war in his head. It was normal news to ever day people, but these two were not every day people. What's more, that man wasn't just any person. Despite standing there unable to form any words, the couple remained complacent to allow the half-elf to take the knowledge in. As seconds ticked by and then a minute passed, the half-elf finally opened his mouth.

"So you two-"

"Yes." Abruptly the taller male interjected before the slowly processing man could continue with that obvious and embarrassing question. The woman pulled a hand gently to her lips and gave a giggle that set off like tinkling bells. Once more the half-elf turned his gaze to the woman, distraught apparent on his face.

"Oh." He responded as his arms enclosed around himself in a protective manner and his eyes wondered off in thought. He wasn't sure what it was that made him feel okay with the idea. It's not as if he had any say in the matter, and if anything he felt a hatred well up in his stomach every time he looked at the woman. Her smiling face and her delicate arms encasing around the auburn's own arm. The way her body was position so comfortably next to him and there was nothing wrong with it. Even that man showed no discomfort with the action in which past years would have left him red faced and itching to flee.

Ah perhaps that was it. That comfortableness that they both felt. It's what made him swallow the bitter truth and allowed for the hatred to well in his stomach. He was sick looking at them, but even for all of that. When green eyes met rusty red eyes, something passed between the two and a warm feeling emerged from the sick burning feeling. It was then he just knew that it was okay.

He hated Anna, but he loved Kratos. That was why he said no more on the matter, but nodded his head and left with the news. Taking their plea and request that he tell no one of this. Leaving no words that could hurt the delicate flower. The shock remaining his heart until her own heart bled.
