Ok. Let's get one thing straight. Half of this fandom cannot write.
I said it.
I know it comes across harsh, but come on.
Really.
When I'm writing a story and I read over it...I can tell if it's horrible or not.
If you read a few PJO stories here and there..you probably know what I'm about to say.
They have no conflict. No drama. No love. No grammar. Let's be honest now. They are all plain. Plain as paper before you write on it.
And the spelling.
Lord Jesus almighty.
How do you mess up spelling? I know, I know. Not everybody is perfect! But hey! You can download apps that help you! Whenever you spell a word wrong, it underlines it in red. How do you people miss that?
The grammar. Really people. Do you not go to school? I know some of the writers on the site are young, like 9,10,11, etc, but come on. At least ask your mom or dad if it sounds right.
Last of all comes the storyline.
*Throws keyboard across the room.*
I am not being rude. I am not saying I am perfect. I am trying to help.
Any story needs 5 things: A plot, character(s), conflict (problem), setting, and a theme.
Most of the stories lack conflict and theme.
To be real with you guys, it sorta depends on the story. If you're writing a cute story, you probably won't use conflict. I get that. If if you're going to write a long-ass story that has 17 million chapters...please use the story elements listed above. Please.
Overall, I know I am not a perfect author. I know I (along with everybody else) make mistakes. We/I can't help it. We are human. 2018 is just in a few hours. Start it off right with a good story, please. I beg you.
Let's start 2018 off as a good year, Fanfiction/PJO fandom.
Thank you
