Title: Not Anymore

A/N: Drabble-ishy. Tried to make it as short, sweet, and angsty as possible.
Summary: This was what she'd dreamt of ever since she was little…so why was she crying as he kissed her?
The rain beat down on their heads, their backs, plastering their clothing to their forms, water drops clinging onto their hair.
She shuddered as he backed her up against the cold brick, his hands planted firmly against the wall behind her. There was no escape.
She didn't feel scared, nor intimidated. More…anxious. She wished he wouldn't stay so close to her, wished he would back away, so they could go on with their day normally like they usually did everyday after practice. There was still a chance of sanity if he took that crucial step back, and then they'd be just plain teammates, and not stepping over the line separating love and friendship like they were now.
Inner Sakura remained blissfully silent as pink mingled with dark blue, as Sasuke buried his face into the crook of her neck. She didn't sigh in happiness like she thought she would. Instead, she fisted her fingers into the front of his apparel, closing her eyes, neither refusing nor accepting. Could she do this?
And still, she was surprised when he kissed her softly, too softly for a bloodthirsty avenger like him. Yet…it was Sasuke, through and through.
She was pliant, but not responding. She didn't tug him to her for more. She didn't push him away in disgust. She just stood there, feeling the drops of water soaking through her clothing and pushing against her skin, felt him in front of her, kissing her.
They both felt the tear slide down her cheek, mingling with the raindrops, falling, falling…
Sasuke withdrew slowly, letting his arms fall to his sides. Sakura let go of him, head bowed as more tears gathered in her eyes. No words were needed as he stepped back.
I'm sorry, Sasuke. I…I don't love you anymore.
Watching him disappear into the mist, she closed her eyes, and turned away.
No.
Not anymore.
