'Speak';

Kisshu looked up sharply, tapering ears twitching slightly. He raised his eyebrows. It was quiet.

Taruto had been screaming non-stop for at least an hour and a half, raging around the ship and throwing anything easy enough to just lift and chuck. Kisshu knew that Taruto's fits were a force to be reckoned with, but this was just too much...

Pai stepped quietly out of Taruto's room, walking down the hallway and into the common room where Kisshu sat with his golden eyes wide. "He is sleeping," Pai said. "And if you wake him, Kisshu, I will bleed you dry and leave you to the flies." Kisshu grimaced.

"Oi... that's a little dark for you, Pai-chan. What's wrong, the runt give you too much to handle?" Kisshu put on an undeniably cute look. Pai ignored it.

"I'm not joking with you, Kisshu. If your stupid mouth wakes that little boy..." Pai narrowed his eyes. "Then you'll be babysitting him for the next week. Are we clear?"

"Geeze, Pai, chill out. You think I actually want the little twerp up after that fit? That was a really bad one..." Kisshu said, cringing a the memory. "I can't believe that little turd bit me. God." Pai gave a little scoff and put his hand out in front of him. A holorgraphic keyboard materialized, along with a screen, and Pai hit a few keys, as if entering a password.

"Yo... How did you do that? Nn?" Kisshu asked suddenly. He was standing next to Pai now, looking over his friend's shoulder at his face.

"Fool, you know how to operate the ship's computer system-"

"No, I mean with Tart. How'd you get him to go to sleep?"

Pai looked slightly put out at being interrupted, but he lifted and lowered one shoulder in a half-way shrug. "I spoke to him," he said simply.

"Spoke? Whaddya mean, spoke? You like, talked him to sleep?" Kisshu had a silly grin on his face, obviously trying not to laugh. "What, did you tell him about data and information and your precious statistics? Wow, so that's how you do it..." Pai sent Kisshu an irritated glare.

"Don't be such an idiot. I just... talked to him. I told him stories about his mother and things, and I listened to him as well."

Most of Kisshu's smile was gone now, but there was a hint of it left. "Yeah, well, you were always good at stuff like that. It's good you're here to talk him down, ne? Imagine anyone else from back home here with him." Kisshu threw an arm around Pai's shoulder and held a hand up in front of them, as if looking at something amazing. "Seriously, just... picture it. Like if Kashi was here, instead of you. Can you imagine?" Kisshu was grinning wildly again.

Pai smiled a little, kind of. "Yes, that's right. You idiots would be lost without me, moreso than even your farfetched brain could think," he said, looking at Kisshu. "But Taruto talks to you as well, Kisshu. He tells you things, that he would not have me know. He trusts you."

"Well, duh, he trusts you too. We're buddies, all of us, ne? You and me, we're friends, too," Kisshu said, giving Pai a(rather hard) slap on the back. Pai coughed from the force and narrowed his eyes at Kisshu- only to have them soften slightly.

"We are," Pai said with a nod. And he turned back to his work.

And let me tell you, Kisshu was damn proud of himself for getting all that out of Pai.

A Note from The Rin;

Did I go too far? I hope not. This was especially for Kishu'sKawaiiNeko, who's very nice, she is! I hope she likes it, kyuu.

Oh, yeah. 'Kashi' means 'pastry'. X3

I totally didn't know what to call this, so I was just like, "Screw it." I guess I called it 'Speak' because Pai talked so dang much... I don't even know, okay? Gah... Sorry, Neko, for the lame title. (Rinna is sad.)

Ah well! I'll be off now, to do other (non-)amazing things, whoo!!
