Hi, it's Sinthetic Angel here. Somehow I have lost my password for my account and can't get it back so I've had to start a new one. This means that I can't update any of my other stories right now until I get everything uploaded again, but I promise they will be uploaded ad updated soon. For now you can enjoy this little drabble about Sena's first time facing Shin-san.

Want.

It hurt. He remembered this feeling, it was pain. He hadn't felt it in so long that he had forgotten how much it scared him. He had managed to get away for so long, to run at the slightest hint of danger and keep running until he knew he had lost his pursuers. Of course this meant he wasn't brave and startled at the slightest thing like an overly nervous labradoodle but that was him, it was who he was. He didn't like pain. Then again, who did? He wanted to get up, wanted to run away and not look back. He didn't want to play this game that Hiruma had forced him into but if he left, then what?

He wouldn't be keeping his promise to Riku, not that he was keeping it anyway, but he was a high school student now. He had to try and keep that promise at least. He wasn't protecting Mamori the first promise broken but he was practising his running…it just so happened that he practiced whilst being a gofer. The second promise kept in a round about way. He just didn't like confrontation and found it easier to do as he was told. What was wrong with him? Surely there was more to him than being a cowardly little runt?

No, there wasn't, but if that was the case then why wasn't he running away? Why was he getting back to his feet and getting back in formation for another run? There was no way he would pass Shin Seijuro, it was impossible even with his speed, so why was he trying again? Why was his back hitting the turf? Why was he curled up on his side, cradling his ribs? Why was he playing this stupid game? If Mamori knew he would be dragged off the field, no questions asked but as he thought about it he realised.

He didn't want to be dragged off the field. He didn't want to stop playing this stupid game. For the first time in a long time Kobayakawa Sena was having fun. Even though it hurt, even though it was hard, even though he didn't understand most of what was happening, he was having fun. He wanted to run down the field as fast as he could, he wanted to see how many people he could pass, he wanted to….no, he would pass Shin Seijuro. That was what he wanted to do. Hiruma Yoichi may have forced him the first time and the second time to run down that field, bending Sena to his demonic will but as the third and the fourth and the fifth time came he found that he wasn't forced. He wanted to do it.

He wanted to play amefuto, he wanted to do something for himself for once and he would have to thank Hiruma later but for now he had to get passed Shin Seijuro. He would get passed Shin Seijuro.
