Disclaimer: Wait a second? Do I…? No, that's right. I DON'T own the Ninja Turtles. Oh well. (shrugs at the old news and skips off, humming something she randomly makes up as she goes)
A/N: Okay. This is nothing like what I usually do. I originally intended for this to be a regular one-shot, but it looked better this way. Plus, I wanted to challenge myself in doing something unlike me. Call it poetry if you want to; I'm not very familiar with the world of poems, so I wouldn't know. Either way, enjoy and don't forget to review. Thank you.
LIKE ONLY A BROTHER COULD
by

Genre: Drama/Poetry
Language: English
Rating: T
Summary: Two lone brothers facing an ambush of LOTS of enemies. Very different from what I usually do. I guess it's more of a poem thing than just a one shot. Rated for violence and language.
I've
played hide and seek with you
I've shared punishments with
you
I've laughed with you
And I've laughed at you
I've loved you like only a brother could
Now, as I
stand with my shell locked to yours
Bloodthirsty enemies watching
us from every corner of the street
I'll go to war with
you
Together, we'll take these bastards out
We'll
condemn them to eternity on this rainy September night
Teach them
what's worth fighting for
But don't
stop if the next body to hit the ground is mine
Don't turn
around, should you hear me scream
Promise me you'll fight
Promise me
you'll survive
Promise not to look back
I've
gotten up early to watch Saturday cartoons with you
I've beaten
you bruised on the living room floor
I've cried for you
And
I've cried because of you
I've hated you like only a brother could
Now, as
your exhausted pants echoes harshly in my head
Our bodies moving
in blind tune with each other
I'll fight this war with
you
Together, we'll hunt these fuckers down
We'll lead them
into the light they never deserved on this black September
night
Teach them what's worth living for
So don't
stop if the next person's blood to spill is mine
Don't turn
around at the sound of my skull cracking open
Promise me you'll
fight
Promise me you'll survive
Promise not to look back
You may
not see me
But I'm
still there
Protecting you like only a brother could
