"Ron what are you doing?" Hermione asked one of her best friends as he lay on the couch in the Gryffindor dormitory with his head in her lap.
"You know you have really nice skin" He mumbled dreamily. She looked down and raised one of her bushy eyebrows at him.
"Ron have you taken anything tonight" She asked as he reached up and pulled the text book from her hands.
"What are you reading?" He asked her ignoring her question.
"I'm reading over what we'll need for our exams" She said snatching the book back from him. He propped himself up on his elbow over her legs and looked up at her face surrounded by her bushy hair.
"You know, you're pretty cool Hermione" He mumbled as a blush crossed over his cheeks. A matching blush spread over hers as she shifted under him a little.
"Oh, Oh well than..."
"Won, Won" Lavender called out, her voice cutting through the dorm room like a knife. Hermione pushed Ron off her lap making him land on the floor with a loud thud.
"Excuse me" She said sourly. She hurried over to the stairs and ran half way up before looking back over her shoulder with tears in her eyes. She saw Lavender jump on Ron and pin him to the ground, kissing him all over his face. Hermione sniffed sadly before running the rest of the stairs to the dorm.
"Hermione" She heard a voice call out. She turned around hopefully only to find Harry standing at the bottom of the stairs.
"He really does love you" He told her as she wiped her eyes with the back of her cloak sleave.
"Well he has a rotten way of showing" She snapped through a fresh set of tears before disappearing into her room and falling down on her bed, crying into her pillow. She had loved Ron for so long, it pained her to see him with Lavender like that. She really wished it was her being able to kiss him like that. She sniffed back her tears again and cuddled her pillow wishing that sleep would take over her so that tomorrow would come quicker and she could forget what she just saw.
