~The Punk and the Prom Queen~

"Sup Kelphead!" Thalia greeted messing up Percy's hair as she sat down at his table.

"Thalia?" He questioned turning around to face her, although it was unnecessary to question it there was really only one person in the world that called him that.

"The one and only."

"What brings the hunters to camp?"

"Artemis has business to take care of on Olympus."

"So the fact that the hunters just happen to show up on capture the Flag Day is a total coincidence?" Percy asked squinting at her skeptically.

"Naturally, ready to lose?" Thalia taunted between bites of food.

"Pfft. We'll see about that."

"How about a friendly wager to make things fun?"

"What did you have in mind?" Percy asked trying not to sound nervous. He didn't like bets and wagers they were usually deadly (or maybe it was just him). She studied him, cocking her head and bringing her hand to her chin in thought. "What are you staring at?" he demanded feeling uncomfortable under her scrutiny. She shook her head laughing making him even more nervous.

"How about if I win capture the flag; I get to give you a makeover for the next day." Thalia challenged looking pleased with herself. Percy raised an eyebrow.

"Who are you and what have you done with Thalia?" Thalia rolled her eyes.

"Pfft please, I meant that if I win I get to dress you up punk style, and you have to stay like that for an entire day no exceptions." She explained looking triumphant. Percy's jaw dropped.

"What!? I'm labeled as a troublemaker already thank you very much." He retorted.

"Hey you should be lucky that you get to look as awesome as me for a day." Percy rolled his eyes.

"You don't like my look?" she asked dangerously narrowing her eyes. Blue sparks flashed within them.

"You make it work. Me on the other hand..." Percy began.

"Your right you have to own the look in order to pull it off. You're too goody two-shoes." She smirked.

"Oh yeah.' Percy agreed his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I'm so goody two-shoes I got kicked out of eight schools, and blew up national monuments. What have you done exactly?" Thalia glared at him.

"You in, or are you chicken?" She taunted extending her hand to shake, and seal the deal.

"If I win the Aphrodite cabin gets to give you a makeover." He countered with a sly grin. Thalia's eyes widened in horror.

"If that happens I'll blast you from here to Olympus." She growled. "But don't worry because you'll be the one with the new look. So you in?" She asked again. He was probably going to regret this, but he was no coward so...

"You're on."

So long story short the hunters won (shocker). Percy loved his campers, but the hunters were definitely more skilled. Although, he still said it was completely unfair how the hunters have had centuries of practice compared to them.

Thalia came after Percy figuring he was the biggest threat, and kept him distracted until the next thing he knew the game was over and he lost. Thalia was soaking wet, and panting as she gave him a winning smile and wink before joining the hunters in triumph. Percy groaned, and glared after her even although he probably didn't look that intimidating with his hair sticking up, and his clothes smoking from being shocked so many times.

The next morning Percy woke up early to someone knocking on his cabin door. When he opened it there was a package on the doorstep with a note attached.

Time to fulfill your part of the bet kelphead. You have to wear these all day, and you can't hide in your cabin.

Have fun!

~Thalia

Percy opened the package, and sighed as he reluctantly got dressed in the silly costume. He stood in front of his bathroom mirror frowning. He looked like Thalia and Nico threw up on him.

He had on black skinny jeans that were too tight for his liking, with metal chains hanging from the belt loops, a spiked silver belt, black bikers boots with steel toes and buckles, a black T-Shirt with some skull graphic on it, a spiked dog collar, and a black leather jacket with spikes on the shoulders and lots of zippers. He was going to murder Thalia. People would be staring at him all day, even more than the usual "Hey look its Percy Jackson the hero."

He sighed in annoyance and ran a hand through his hair messing it up further contributing to the image of punk/Goth kid. He stamped his foot and braced myself. If he could face armies of monsters, he could wear this get up for a day.

When he walked into the dining pavilion for breakfast everyone stared. For one thing stealth was impossible, since the steel toed boots made clomping noises as he walked and the chains rattled. Second, the pants were definitely too tight. He heard snickers from the Artemis table, and whistles from the Aphrodite table. He kept his head up and his crumbling dignity as he sat down.

"Seaweedbrain, did you get dressed in the dark again?" Annabeth joked as she sat down next to him at his table.

"Lost the bet with Thalia" he grumbled stuffing pancakes into his mouth angrily.

"Aww man this is just too good!" Thalia called as she strolled toward the pair as if she owned the place. Her hand covered her mouth in a failed attempt to smother her giggles. Percy stood up, and glared at her. He was a good five inches taller than her considering she doesn't grow anymore, and that made him feel a little better.

"Wow you know when you're both dressed like that you two could pass as siblings." Annabeth pointed out looking between the two in fascination. Percy looked down at himself, and then glanced at Thalia, who did the same and they ended up staring at each other in scrutiny. Annabeth was right (as usual) the two of them did look alike with their dark hair, and similar fashion sense.

"Oh Hades no! There is no way kelphead and I look that much alike." Thalia insisted looking horrified. Percy just shrugged indifferently, and sat back down to his breakfast. Annabeth rolled her eyes and smiled at the two of them. Thalia just huffed and ruffled Percy's hair.

"Enjoy the rest of your day Perce." She said deviously before heading back to her table.

"Enjoy my day?" Percy thought to himself. "More like I wish I could hide under a rock all day." Everywhere he went people stared at him like they used to do when he killed the Minotaur for the first time, and got claimed as Poseidon's kid. Except this time, they were either snickering, or doing double takes. Apparently he wasn't the only one who thought a punk Percy was weird.

When he taught his sword fighting classes, he had an even harder time trying to get those ADHD kids to focus than usual. They kept asking him questions about the new outfit, and what Annabeth had to say about it blah blah blah.

"Guy's listen. I lost a bet with Thalia. This is the last time you or anyone will ever see me like this. I have no idea what Annabeth thinks you can ask her." Percy yelled in frustration running a hand through his hair and stabbing Riptide into the ground in annoyance.

"Now will you please just forget about my clothes and listen to the lesson." he begged. Gods, he was starting to sound like his mother.

They finally ceased their endless barrage of questions and listened/exercised the different motions. Another thing Percy discovered that day was that sword fighting in skinny jeans is nearly impossible. He swore his students were more focused on seeing if his pants were going to rip than the lesson.

Later, Annabeth and he were snacking from a basket of strawberries by the lake. They sat side by side on the pier, with their bare feet dangling in the water.

'You know this isn't a bad look for you." Annabeth mentioned checking him out up and down while sucking on a strawberry. Percy scoffed as he popped another strawberry. "I mean you totally don't fit the personality of a punk, but it works." She continued, rubbing the soft leather of his jacket. "You should at least keep the jacket." Her eyes sparkled with amusement.

"Then why are you laughing?" he pouted. She finally let out her giggles and threw her arms around his neck.

"Because playing dress up annoys you so much. I thought you of all people could care less about what you looked like." She asked ruffling his perpetually tussled hair.

"I don't care" he insisted. "I just care about looking ridiculous." She laughed again and kissed him. She held his chin and turned his head so he looked right in her eyes.

"Percy you'll never look ridiculous to me. I'm your girlfriend my opinion should be the only one that matters. And I say, you look hot in whatever you wear.' She said truthfully kissing him again for emphasis. He smiled sheepishly, and backed away from her with his hands up in a shrug.

"So if I wore this every day you would be cool with that?" he teased. She raised her eyebrow and punched him in the shoulder.

"Your mother would make you change before I get the chance." She promised as she leaned in for another kiss.

That night at campfire it felt different with the hunters around. Any guy that so much as looked at them to long received death glares, and you could cut the tension between the hunters and the Aphrodite cabin with a knife. Percy didn't really know why the hunters even came to campfire. He supposed either they couldn't sleep with all the racket the campers made, or they didn't trust Thalia alone with them. Who knew?

Anyway the hunters were there, and the Apollo cabin had already started the camp songs. Annabeth sat next to Percy on a log. They were having a good time, until Thalia walked into the clearing…

In the glow of the fire light, Thalia looked amazing. Her black, ripped, punk clothes were gone replaced with a shimmery blue knee-length dress. Dainty high-heeled sandals took the place of her usual combat boots. Her hair was no longer spikey but styled in a wavy look. Her lieutenant tiara and diamond jewelry she wore made her look like a prom queen. The only thing that hadn't changed was the amount of eyeliner she always had on, but that just contributed to her new look.

"Wow" Percy thought to himself. He knew that Thalia was always pretty, but now she was no longer hiding it.

Guy's jaws dropped. Leo's hair caught on fire. The Aphrodite girls just looked on with knowing smiles. For the first time that day people were no longer staring at Percy. He had on his signature confused face, as he stood up.

'Thalia what are you doing? I lost the bet not you." He reminded her in bewilderment trying his best not to gawk at her. She just gave him a sly smile.

"I figured you've endured enough embarrassment; besides I don't want anyone mistaking us as siblings ever again." She growled crossing her arms and feigning a disgusted face.

Percy rubbed the back of his neck, and had a huge smile on his face. Thalia was nice and all, but she rarely went out of her way like this. It meant a lot to him, and reminded him that she did have a heart even if she would never admit it.

'Thanks Thals." He said simply. No need to get all mushy she would just shock him.

'Hug, Hug, Hug…" the campers and even a few of the hunters started chanting, getting louder while increasing the tempo with each passing moment. Percy gave her a sheepish smile and held out his arms, she walked over and punched him in the stomach and threw her arms around him when he doubled over to her height. He managed a dry laugh at her methods and returned the hug.

Percy saw a flash go off in the corner of his eye. Thalia must have noticed too because she pushed him away, and glared in the direction of the flash. Grover stood about ten feet away with a camera in his hands and a big grin on his face. When he saw Thalia and Percy glaring at him he just snapped another photo, and watched the two of them with an uneasy expression. There isn't much that's scarier than two big three kids giving you death glares.

"You know if you chased him he would easily get a way seeing as you're wearing heels." Percy pointed out just to tease her. She turned on him.

"And you're wearing skinny jeans what's your point?" she spat back.

Everyone around the camp fire roared with laughter. Percy blushed, and Thalia gave him a playful shove as she doubled over in laughter along with everyone else. Grover took another picture, and Thalia and Percy looked at each other and nodded slyly, before running after a screaming satyr.
