Clai- *ahem* I mean Felix, was babysitting his 6 year old great-granddaughter once again. Claudia was one of his favorites, hyper and curious and she always listened to everything he had to say.
After a long day of playing with grandpa, she was getting a little sleepy. Felix walked over to the sofa and patted the cushion next to him. When she climbed up next to him, he looked down at her and said, "Have you ever heard the story of the Rail Tracer?" She shook her head vigorously, her bright red hair flinging about her face. It reminded him of his own before it turned grey.
He leaned back with his arms on the back of the sofa and thought about where he should start, never once thinking that this story might be too graphic for a little girl. "A long time ago there was a great monster call the Rail Tracer that disguised himself as a train conductor. He would listen for his name, because when his story was told he would come out and eat all the passengers. Unless, of course, you could survive until sunrise." "Why?" Claudia asked. "Because, it's like a game to him." It was the closest answer he could come up with.
The felt her crawl into his lap. He looked down and patted her head. "The man that taught him how to conduct was a wise old man named Tony. One day Tony disappeared and some strange man took his place with warning."
"Suddenly," he threw his hands up, "the stranger pulled out a gun and told the monster what he did to Tony. The monster was unhappy and decided to to pay him pack. He kicked the gun out of the way and led the impostor to the very front of the train and helped him over. Then the monster made him grab the rails with his hands and his face. When e got back into the car, he was all messy.
Claudia's eyes were sparkling with excitement. He wrapped his arms around her. "While he was doing this, there was a lot of gun fire in the rest of the train so he climbed outside to get around better. There was another person outside the train to. He recognized her as a woman that didn't pay for a ticket. When he asked for her ticket she ran away." "Did he follow her?" Claudia asked. Felix smiled at her. "No, he had more important things to do."
"In the dinning car, there were people in white suits and people in black suits causing trouble. The most beautiful woman in the whole word was with the black suits. So on-" But," Claudia interrupted, "I thought you said that grandma as the most beautiful woman in the world." Of course!" he exclaimed.
"Anyway, one by one he started picking them off and leaving them behind the train." She yawned a little. "Then he found another person that was bad for the train. He was a grown up in a kid's body. One that never stays hurt for long. "That sounds like Czes." Claudia pointed out. Felix smile and replied, "Yeah, just like him. He tried to have the other passengers killed so the monster decided to teach him a lesson"
"After a while, I left him and went to the roof where everything was happening at the moment. That beautiful woman was fighting the leader in white. She was strong but I want to fight too."
I jumped-" he happened to glance down to see that Claudia had fallen asleep on his lap. "I guess I'll have to tell you the rest some other time."
