Don't kill me! Anyone who has read Key to My Heart knows that there is a poem that I have based this on. I simply just changed it a bit to fit VK. Um, if anyone is confused, this is about Yuuki waiting for Zero who is off killing vampires. There's nothing else to it. Um, this is my first VK story, so please be kind to me. Anyone waiting for KMH (Key to My Heart), I've got writer's block. Sorry! I'm not really sure how to move on the story, so suggestions would be appreciated.

She stands on the steps in somber black
Waiting for her love come walking down the track
Lavender eyes haunt her dreams
Without him, colder and darker it seems
Against the blood-drinking beasts he fights
And so she waits, night by night
He is in a field, killing beasts, when his is one
She and he and have never felt so alone
Now there is just one beast left to kill
And the lavender-eyed hunter goes to take his fill
And so he kills the red-eyed beast
Yet from the hunter the beast takes his feast
The blood that flows is as red as a rose
Their lives are now reaching a close
As the hunter's eyes begin to close, he thinks of her
Now, the world in front of him begins to blur
As he dies, he thinks only of the one waiting for his return
Though, through his blurry eyes, the sky he can no longer discern
For her he will always care
He knows that to her this is not fair
Even when he fought, to love her had been his eternal vow
But he cannot do anything now
When he dies, she does not know that he will not come back
And so she stands on the steps in somber black
Waiting for her love to come walking down the track
