The brown flit was minding his own business, trying to find a "sparklie" that he thought his owner would like, when he spotted a flash of green. He spiraled closer, just in time to see a green flit crash land by something that looked suspiciously like an eggnest. Chirping, he flew closer to investigate.
While the eggnest wasn't really hers Fluffy thought it belonged to her. She was a very absentminded green and honestly was not very smart as greens tended to be. Although she tended to stay close to her pet Maelrik she still remembered occasionally to check on what she thought was her eggnest. So when the big and kind of fluffy looking green heard a chirp she was alert wondering who was visiting her nest. ~who you?~ she asked.
(I Chatter) the brown asked, flying closer to investigate the nest. (Mine nest?)
~Fluffy~ the smaller green answered. Being a superficial green, seeing a handsome male made her shift on the nest to look prettier. ~mine nest~ she added, oblivious to the fact it really wasn't her nest.
(Chatter like nest, like green, like you) the brown responded, landing as close as he dared, extending his neck to give her a quick nuzzle. (Guard nest.)
Fluffy, of course accepted the nuzzle and nuzzled the handsome brown back; she definitely loved the attention. ~like Chat~ she said simply, scooting to allow her to help him.
Chatter, of course, viewed this as a major success, settling down next to her on the nest. ((Chatter guard Fluffy, guard nest))
~good Chat, Fluffy like~ she answered, very pleased as she cuddled next to the handsome brown (who she was now convinced was her mate).
Chatter put his wing over her then, fully intent on keeping *his* mate and nest safe from any who approached. (Chatter keep Fluffy, nest safe0) he assured her.
