Summary: Allen, Miranda and Lenalee go on a mission to find innocence in a deserted town when level five akuma and a Noah go after them. Kanda, Lavi go in as back up; but where are Allen and Miranda and why is everyone so distraught?

Ps: This story is not a sequel to 'Finding Lost Ones' or anything, just saying well typing, so on with it...

So I was listening to 'Little House' by the Fray and I thought I'd update the chapter then move on with the story.

Fighting Memories

It was a humid Thursday evening when Krory called Miranda. She had been eating some pear flaugnarde that Jeryy had made specifically for her in the cafeteria when the 'akuma vampire' told her to head to Komui's office.

Allen had just finished taking a shower because he had been exercising. He was heading to his room to change, when Marie told him to hurry up because Komui had a mission for him.

In another part of the castle. Lenalee had been sleeping comfortably, when someone knocked on her door rapidly. It had been Reever, who told her to wake up because her brother wanted to see her about something.

Miranda

"Really… I just sat down, oh well. I am still taking my food and eating it." She looked for her fork but couldn't find it so she just picked at her food and chewed slowly. Then almost screamed, when she noticed that her comrade hadn't left yet.

She quickly composed herself and smiled brightly then swallowed the food. While blushing slightly then spoke as she moved from the bench. "Thank you Krory, I will go now. Did Mr. Komui tell you why, he wants to see me?"

He shifted half of his weight onto his other foot because being around the woman made him slightly nervous. "No. He just told me to get you, he probably has a mission."

Her voice held the tiniest bit of sarcasm but she meant the words. "Oh great, thanks…"

Krory nodded briefly and said. "You are welcome." Then he started walking towards the lunch line cause he got sort of hungry.

She stopped him when she said. "Right, hey…" and she changed her mind then was like. "Never mind…"

Arystar had thought that she had forgotten his name or something, but she had forgotten her question.

Taking a few minutes to rush to her room and pack some stuff then crash into Lavi and Timcanpy, the second almost twisting their foot because of the mishap.

"Hey uh, are you okay?" Lavi asked from his painful looking position on the ground as he tried to get up.

"Yeah, fine. Do you need help?" She rushed to his side as Timcanpy flew behind her quickly.

He smiled brightly then said in a super chill voice. "Nah. I'm good, where were you heading in such a hurry?"

"Komui, I think I have a mission. So everything I'll need is packed, if I have to leave." As she said the words, she helped him stand and he gave her the bags.

The ginger walked away but before leaving said that he would help if she needed backup and she smiled.

At Komui's office

The guy had been eating powdered doughnuts and he had just poured himself coffee when he saw the exorcist, then he pointed towards the chair with his powdered covered fingers.

The exorcist entered the room and sounded slightly nervous when she walked towards her seat and didn't know what else to say so she said. "Mister Komui… you called for me?"

He wiped at his mouth and face as he spoke. However, he still had some schmutz on his face as he said. "Yes, but could you please wait a few more minutes. We are still waiting for Allen and Lenalee; I had people go get them, they won't be long."

Her face fell at the mention of a 'certain Walker' and she looked away from Komui as she whispered the words. "What. Allen's coming; fuck me, why him?"

Komui raised an eyebrow and he said In a somewhat interested tone. "What? Miss Lotto, is there a problem in between you and Mr. Walker?"

Her eyes widened and she shook her head in denial then said in a hasty voice. "What no, no… it is nothing of significance I uh…indigestion, yeah that's it!"

His eyes narrowed in suspicion but spoke in a churlish tone. "Then why would you say it aloud?"

Shit, I said it aloud. She smiled an obviously forced smile then said. "Oh, please just dismiss it sir…and um you've got some schmutz on your face."

They stared at each other in awkward silence for few seconds then he offered her coffee but she declined and they waited while he wiped at his face.

Allen

"Really, I just showered. Fine. I will go see what he wants. Thanks man." Allen closed the door to his room and packed some clothes into an old bag while he changed into his uniform quickly.

He opened the door as he buttoned up his shirt and Marie spoke up starling Allen but he composed himself and laughed it off.

"It's cool you'd do the same for me. Oh and Tim's is with Lavi, I'll send him to Komui." Marie started walking away as Allen mumbled the words.

"Yes, see you later."

Allen picked up his bag and started walking the other direction as he thought. Wait he's here? Timcanpy was staying with Cross. Then he said to himself. "Guess he's going as well then."

It took him a few minutes to get close to Komui's office but he stopped when he heard one of his comrades speak. "Allen's coming; fuck me, why him?"

Normally he was not one for eavesdropping but she had said his name so it involved him, he thought it justified. Is that Miranda talking? Yes and that's Komui. "Miss Lotto, is there a problem in between you and Mr. Walker?"

"What no, no… it's nothing of significance. I uh…indigestion?"

Why doesn't she want me to go? Allen had stopped paying attention to their conversation but smiled and almost laughed aloud when she said.

"You've got some schmutz on your face."

I'll find the underlying cause of this but I'll pretend to be oblivious for now. He waited two seconds then took a few steps back and stepped a little louder as he walked forward to let them know he was nearing.

Then he took a breath and knocked on the door deliberately slow. "Hey Komui, hello Miranda. You wanted to see me about something, is it a mission?"

The guy pointed at a chair and said. "Yes, let us just wait for Lenalee." Sure why not? Thought the other two exorcists sarcastically.

Lenalee

Her eyes snapped open at the sound of her name and when she her knocking at the door as she spoke groggily to herself. "I am super tired, what does he want now?"

Reever responded from the doorway. "It is either coffee or you have a mission… either way good luck."

Lenalee got up and opened the door to let him in as she walked towards her closet and took out a duffel bag, threw it on the bed then proceeded to fill it with whatever she thought was of use.

"Yes, ha ha please bless me. I will need it." She looked at a small mirror near her bed and said in a pensive voice. "Oh, I look like shit. Maybe I should take a quick shower. Nah, I'll do it once we stop along the way."

She stopped putting things in the bag as she stood there for a moment and was like. What if Bak saw me like this? Who cares, I'll just fix my hair a bit. "It is times like this, that I am glad and it is a good thing he's in another branch."

"Daydreaming again?" Having forgotten that Reever was still there helping her pack she laughed and just hugged him while he looked at her like whoa.

Once that was over, she got her stuff and told him took help keep her brother in check as she walked out the door.

Taking some time to look at the clock she noticed enough had been wasted packing so she sprinted. It took her a few minutes to get near the door of her brother's office because she had run into Kanda but effectively sidestepped him while saying she had a mission and he kept walking.

"Komui, why did you call for me? I was sleeping." Allen offered her some water but she declined it and sat down next to Miranda.

Komui stood up when he saw his sister and said. "My sweet Lenalee!" All dramatic like but stopped when he noticed that she wasn't amused in the slightest.

"What brother?" She gave him an annoyed look and he went back to 'professional mode' as he sat down and said in an informative tone.

"Nothing, I have a mission for you three."
