What if Kagome didn't return home after Koga kidnapped her and she had her fight with InuYasha? What if, instead, she returned to the him, even by accident?

I know, stupid idea. It's the only thing I could come up with! I'm still continuing my other story, Apologies Aren't Always Needed, once I get this off to an OK start.

Now, on to the story.

Kagome silently rode on Kilala, still fuming from her last conversation with InuYasha.

Flashback

She and InuYasha were sitting on a rock ledge discussing…well…Koga.

"So…what exactly happened between you guys?"

"InuYasha…WHAT DO YOU TAKE ME FOR ANYWAY? I HAVE SOME SELF RESPECT YOU KNOW! HOW COULD YOU EVEN ASK ME THAT?"

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO BITE MY HEAD OFF I WAS JUST WONDERING!"

"YOU JERK! DON'T YOU GET ANYTHING?"

"IF I'M SUCH A JERK THEN STOP TAGGING ALONG AND GETTING IN THE WAY. I'M TIRED OF WASTING MY TIME RESCUING YOU!"

"I see…Sango?"

"Huh? What is it?"

"Can I borrow Kilala?"

"What are you going to do?"

"Heh…she misses her wolf boy already!"

"I'M GOING BACK HOME STUPID! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW? YOU'RE SUCH A JERK!"

End Flashback

Kagome let her mind wander over what had happened in the past few days. It all seemed to be a blur. Looking for jewel shards…meeting Koga…getting kidnapped…by Koga… fighting the Birds of Paradise…helping Koga escape InuYasha…Koga…

Everything ties into Koga. The reason InuYasha is mad at her is BECAUSE of Koga.

But WHY? Why couldn't InuYasha see that she didn't like Koga that way? Did she? How could she? He's a wolf demon! But he did say he loves her…did he mean it? He couldn't have…

Kagome was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't realize where Kilala was taking her until it was too late.

Kilala landed softly in a clearing of trees, snapping Kagome back to the real world. Kagome hopped off of her back to take a look around, giving Kilala a chance to transform into her smaller kitten form. Kagome was confused as to why they were in this clearing. It seemed oddly familiar to her, but she knew it wasn't a part of InuYasha Forest. She walked around for about ten minutes, and then went straight to the reason she was there in the first place.

"Kilala? I thought I was going home? Why are we here?"

Kilala just looked up at her with bright eyes and gave a soft mew, not that Kagome had expected anything more from the fire neko.

"Well, come on Kilala, let's see where you've taken us."

The miko and the fire neko walked for about an hour before reaching a waterfall. Kagome would have asked Kilala to take her home, but she felt that there was something about this place that she recognized. She also suspected that Kilala had a particular reason for bringing her here. She decided to go with her gut instinct. Then she noticed something particular about the waterfall. She HAD seen it before, and she just realized where.

And all of her assumptions were proven to be true when she saw Koga and his two friends, Ginta and Hakkaku, step out from behind the waterfall. She wanted to run, but found that her legs wouldn't respond to her brains demands.

After constant struggle, she finally got them to move so she could run…but…too late.

"Kagome?"

Hey, what'd you think? I know it's not good yet, but I'm trying. I'll be going back and forth between my two stories, so I can't say when I'll update.

I'm not quite sure where I am taking this one…but a Koug/Kag fic all the same!
