"You're broken, he broke you, ripped you all up and now he has to pay. Don't you agree, El?"
"One hundred present, my boy, more then you will ever know."
-
From the very start (when he pushed us to the side) to him I've been this broken and fragile thing that he needs to protect, found me covered in blood, broken, but sadly still very much alive, and in no way do I protest.
Besides it's been so long since someone cared, someone wanted to save me (and it wasn't all sugar coated lies), and at that moment that someone is none other then Luke Campbell.
(a child that likes to wear daddy's suits and evil smirks, just one of the many things that we share)
"I want to kill him Elle, rip his throat out for what he did to you (proof of it is slowly fading away). And you can't stop me from doing that."
"Hehe, I may be a broken piece of china (covered dragons breathing sparks), all shattered into millions of tiny pieces but baby, if I wanted to stop you from getting yourself killed don't believe I can't."
Sometimes I have to break character (take the control from the child's hands) and become me once again, which as always comes with lots of shocks that remind him who's really running this little show.
(this show that I fear will come to an end with the lifting of a finger and the wicked grin of my murderer)
"But, El-"
"Shh, I won't let you get your self killed no matter how many shiny words you spill, I just like you too much, my boy, way too much."
And with those words (the ones that rarely come from my lips these days, after the love that ruined me) instead of going head first into his death he feel into my arms and became the good boy I always he knew he was.
(the one that will be gone in the years to come, but still he will be mine alone)
"See, Luke, you can protect me just fine right here. Someday you'll kill him, tear him down from his throne, but until then stay here with me. Can you do that?"
"For you, Elle, I will do anything."
(and someday, when the future is filled to the tip with fire and blood, he'll have his day and I'll be there to cheer him on)
