Hey Everyone:
I know this is not Batman related, but I needed to tell my readers. I've been trying to decide who to tell and who not to. I've told my brother, my mom, and a friend of mine in Pennsylvania. I haven't told my sister because she has a tendency to panic and blow things out of proportion, and even though she has a Facebook page, she is rarely on. Right now, I'm going through my email and I am realizing there are just way too many for me to inform personally. Some of you have already seen this notice. Many of you are seeing it for the first time. Please don't feel slighted if I didn't give you a private message. I'm trying to reach as many of you as I can. Also, many of you I've known for a long time, and others not that long, but I'm getting to know you in different ways.
Everyone I have some good news and bad news. I'll start with the bad news. First some back story.
Three weeks ago, I had a physical. I discussed with the PA about some female person issues. He gave me some recommendations. I decided to follow-up on those recommendations. I went into the Women's Health Center here in Beaverton, Oregon, for a biopsy to check to see if everything was fine. That was last week. Yesterday, I got a phone call back. It's not the kind of phone call you want to here. Now for the bad news.
They told me I have ENDOMETRIAL CANCER
It's a cancer that is in the lining if the Uterus.
The good news . . . WE CAUGHT IT EARLY.
Next steps right now is scheduling to see an oncologist and to find out what my options are. I know what one option is, but I want to know if there are any others. There probably won't be. My prognosis is high, so that's good.
Anyway, that's my good news and bad news story. Never thought something like this would hit me. Cancer does run in my family though. I guess I've been pretty lucky. It could have been something much worse. I guess I'll have most of July to recover from this once we know what our plan is.
I will continue to write, but there could be a chance I may be on hiatus until I recover. Thanks guys for reading this, and for reading my stories. I'm glad you're here and I love you all.
