"Nothing that you say or do can stop me from loving you."
It is what my mother told me after I had broken her priceless vase. I had been running through the house after she told me not to.
Glass is loud when it shatters.
"Nothing that you say or do can stop me from loving you."
My best girl friend growing up admitted her love for me before moving to New York. After she said this, I had gotten my first kiss.
Her plane crash was on the news the next night.
"Nothing that you say or do can stop me from loving you."
To the child inside of my girlfriend, I spoke these words more than once. Even if the baby could not hear me, it was enough to know that it was true.
Every part of me ached for that child.
"Nothing that you say or do can stop me from loving you."
Peering into the eyes of the woman I love, my heart beats faster. The veil is covering her face, but I can see her brunette curls with perfect clarity.
Nothing had been clearer.
"Nothing that you say or do can stop me from loving you."
Before bed every night, I croon this to my daughter. She holds her teddy tight and asks me to read her another story; any excuse to stay up longer to avoid resting.
Never could I deny her wish.
Author's note;
I do believe that it is obvious that I have never written something like this before⦠if you follow my work. Px
It was awesome trying something new and this style intrigued me.
A Scarlet Rebel was brilliant and amazing enough to Beta this story, for which I offer my gratitude (again).
Your reviews are lovely, even if they only have one word. [:
