April 17th

Although it was nearing summer, it was a wet, dreary day, and one of the few Harry got to spend with Ginny. They stood outside, under the stone shelter surrounding the courtyard. The rain lashed down in tiny drops that wet them right through. The wind blew every now and again, yet they didn't seem to notice.

Ginny was stood with Harry, facing each other, his arms wrapped around her, keeping her safe, keeping her warm. She had her head on his chest, sinking into his warmth. It was where they had to be to be alone, without anyone following, staring, or gossiping. It was their special place. Last time they just stood there, in each other's arms, until the sun had gone to bed. They were watching the orange-yellow sky through the rain.

"Isn't it beautiful?"

Ginny didn't normally realise the beauty in things. Harry must have brought it out in her.

"Just like you," Harry smiled down on her. She looked up at him, a rosy glow in her cheeks. "It's true, you're beautiful. The most beautiful creature I've ever laid eyes on." Ginny smiled.

"Well, what about those Veelas at the Quidditch World Cup?"

"That's why I said creature," Harry smiled. He rubbed his nose on hers, then kissed her gently on her perfect, soft lips. She closed those beautiful brown eyes that Harry loved so deeply, and responded with gentle passion.

Harry moved his hands down to her waist and pulled her closer towards him, wanting to feel her body on his. Ginny moved her hands up, and wrapped them around his neck. They stood there kissing gently, melting into each other for a while, until Ginny bravely took Harry's bottom lip between her teeth and nibbled slightly. She knew it drove him mad when she did that. He managed to stop his knees giving way and leant back so he was supported by the wall.

Why didn't they do this more often?

A/N. I hope you liked it! SO SO sorry for gap between updates. I seem to have writters block, so any ideas for 'After The Battle' would be greatly appreciated, or for any other story, really!
