The leaves of fall begin to change. She stares out her window, sipping a cup of cooling coffee. Her eyes look out the window, watching the wind touch the branches of her trees, and her mind begins to wander. Blonde hair and brown eyes eventually find their way into her thoughts. Everything has happened so fast lately. She can't get control of things like she used to, and it seems that everyone has started to make their own futures. Except her. She's always wondered how nothing has really gone her way, that she's been fooling herself about what she really wants—what could actually make her happy. Her lips feel the cold touch of her mug and her mouth tastes the dullness of her old coffee. But a knock sounds on her door, startling her from her saddening reverie.
The world was on fire, and no one could save me but you
It's strange what desire will make foolish people do
I never dreamed that I'd need somebody like you
I never dreamed that I'd know somebody like you
The doorknob twists, opening the entryway to her unimpressive home. Yet she's still sitting at her table, not caring who's about to disturb her thoughts.
And I wanna fall in love
And I wanna fall in love with you
with you
Emma walks up slowly behind Regina, the redeemed Evil Queen, to find her in her bathrobe and messy hair, looking completely out of place in such plain surroundings. She smiles softly, leaning on the doorway to Regina's kitchen, crossing her arms in an iconic way.
The brunette flicks her eyes to the other woman, barely registering her presence, but feeling it nonetheless. Emma never ceased to ignite a flame inside her that's unavoidable. She always had faith in her redemption, always telling her that could be a better person, that she could find happiness in the small things. And Regina tried, and she fell several times. But Emma always seemed to pick her back up, pushing her on. Her own personal savior.
What a wicked game you play, you make me feel this way
What a wicked thing to do, make me dream of you
What a wicked thing to say, never felt that way
What a wicked thing to do, make me dream of you
Regina sighs, looking back out the window, barely notcing the silence between them. Whenever they were together, they were always talking, always involved in some sort of conversation. There was never any silence. So she didn't break it. She let it flow like the leaves of autumn through the wind.
Emma silently walks up behind her, spreading a warmth up her back. Regina stills, basking in the lack of space between them. The Savior leans over her shoulder, her hair brushing the side of her face, and places her hand on the coffee mug, directly over Regina's. Their skin touches, sending bolts of electricity through them both. Emma watches Regina's eyes flick towards the mug.
And it steams.
And I wanna fall in love
And I wanna fall in love with you
with you
My world was on fire, and no one could save me but you
It's strange what desire will make foolish people do
I never dreamed that I'd need somebody like you
I never dreamed that I'd miss somebody like you
And I wanna fall in love
And I wanna fall in love
And I wanna fall in love with you
with you
Nobody loves no one
