I'm not exactly sure what prompted me to write this. I guess it's because I have a feeling that tomorrow's episode is going to shoot everything to hell. So I figured that a story should be written about the relationship most underestimated. The friendship of Tony and Abby. It just saddens me that these two are never shown just hanging out. Enough with this.

Abby Sciuto was in a bad mood. Normally people would stay away and try not to have work for her to do. They would also get somebody from Team Gibbs. But today, team Gibbs was problem.
They were in the middle of a case that had been dragged out for far too long. The Caf-Pow! machine was out of order and the only guy who knew how to fix it was in New Mexico.
Plus, the lack of forensics was astounding. This guy, whoever he was, was good. But the team didn't realize this. Or didn't care, depending on a fight she had McGee with a couple days earlier.
Also, Tony was gone. He had gone to pick up lunch for the team. Gibbs was annoyed at how long it was taking him, even for Tony. He was taking out on everybody. Even Ducky was getting backlash.
Gibbs was in the midst of severe bastard mood. Abby caught a good deal of it. He was yelling at her for something that wasn't even her fault! She had already run every test she could think of.
She lost it. She had had it. It was too much. She did not need this. Being yelled at when she did something wrong was one thing, but being yelled at because Gibbs was angry was just pissing her off. It wasn't just Gibbs, either. McGee and Ziva were starting in on her too.
She figured that they couldn't really blame her when she blew. She was red in the face from screaming. She was yelling about how underappreciated she felt, how she was hurt that they took their anger out on her.
But what she certainly didn't expect was that when she paused to get her breath, a low chuckle was heard coming from the direction of the door to her lab. There, standing in the door, was Tony with his hands behind his back.
He said how he was lucky he'd come back when he did. Otherwise, he said, he'd have ended up cleaning up Gibbs and McGee and Ziva from her lab. Then, he pulled out a Caf-Pow! from behind his back. She squealed and stopped in her tracks. She asked how he got the machine to work. He said that the custodian had told him how to do it and that's why he'd been gone for so long.
She asked him what else he had behind his back. He said that he'd been getting an underappreciated vibe from her the past couple of days. So from behind his back, a bouquet of black roses with a red one in the middle. He said that they didn't have an entire bouquet of black ones, so the red one was clearly standing out.
She smiled as her eyes watered with happy tears. She hugged him, carefully, as to not crush her flowers. She took the drink and her flowers from his hands. He took the red one out of the bouquet. She handed it to Tony and planted a kiss on his cheek, the lipstick leaving a stain.
He then asked her if she would like to join him for lunch. She smiled and agreed. On the arm of a man she considers her best friend, not looking back, she goes to eat.
The day suddenly doesn't seem that bad.
