A/N: This is a prompt I found on castlefanficprompts on tumblr: Cops and Robbers but Caskett is already a couple.

When she hears and feels that bomb go off, all she can think about is the future they won't get to have. The kids they won't get to raise together. The heartbreak she will have to face along with Alexis.

Before she knows it, she's running into the building, not even waiting for Captain Peterson to give everyone the okay to go in. When she first enters the bank, she doesn't see any body parts or people bleeding or yelling out for help, that has to be a good sign.

"Castle! Castle! Castle!" Then she hears it.

"Beckett?"

She follows his voice and there he is, there they all are. All without a scratch. She sees him wave at her and smile but it still doesn't feel real. He's alive. He's okay. As soon as she processes it, she rushes in, puts the safety on her gun, and tosses it aside. She takes a moment to just look at him, match his smile with hers. The worst day of their lives is over. She cuts off his zip ties then smooths down his collar before pulling him toward her and pressing her lips to his in a deep, passionate kiss. Several seconds go by and they finally pull apart when they hear Martha's voice.

"He's not the only one here you know?"

And in that moment, she couldn't be more grateful for being interrupted by her mother-in-law but Castle leans his head back against the wall, obviously embarrassed or annoyed. She smirks at him before turning to Martha. "I'm so sorry Martha."

They walk hand in hand out of the building until they see Alexis. Castle picked up his pace as Alexis ran toward them. They enveloped each other in a hug and Martha wrapped an arm around Kate's waist. "Thanks for getting us out kiddo."

Kate wrapped an arm around Martha's shoulder and put her other one on Castle's, squeezing slightly. "It was all him." She moved the hand she had on Castle's shoulder to her 4 month, slightly swollen stomach. "And there was no way I would let Alexis or this baby be without their father or grandmother."
