Disclaimer: I don't own Under the Red Hood. Just this wonderful ( bad ) poem I made about Jason Todd. Dude needs some loving, yo!

"Why? I'm not talking about killing Penguin or Scarecrow or Dent. Just him. Because...Because he took me away from you."

- Jason Todd

He was a street rat,

nothing like the 'Golden boy'.

Could never be like him.

Why couldn't He understand?

All the anger, his pain,

he couldn't make it go away.

Only channel it.

Just like He taught him,

but it wasn't enough.

For all the fighting,

the good he had done,

something had to give.

Turned out it was him,

all because of a mistake.

Then he had come back.

The same yet different,

so much difference.

His purpose had changed now.

It's to kill,

to cleanse.

The method He wouldn't do.

"I'm doing what you won't. I'm taking them out!"

- Jason Todd

Still though, all the negative

emotions remained.

Especially the hurt.

Guess all he was good for

was being the soldier.

Never the son.

Nothing like the famed

Richard Dick Grayson.

Why does He refuse to understand?

It doesn't matter now.

All that matters

is the mission.

Family doesn't matter,

even if he...

It's not like He

ever cared.

Families, fathers, brothers,

none of it matters anymore.

Just the mission.

Though the pain still remains.

That well never go away.

He wasn't sure if he

even want it too.

It's the only thing he has left of Him.

"Does it make it easier for you to think that my little dip in his fountain of youth turned me rabbit? Or is this just the real me?"

- Jason Todd

AN: Hopefully I was able to catch the awesome essence that was Jason Todd.
