Broke Ass presents Masterpiece Theatre: Volume 2

(Theme song and credits roll)
Narrator: "Good evening and welcome to another installment of culture and sophistication. Tonight's piece is a rendition of Sir Thomas Wyatt's 'Farewell, Love', as performed by Hip-hop Artist Slick Rick."
Reilly(Boondocks): This aughta be good.
Gaara: It better be.
(The two boys sit in the audience, watching the stage. Gaara has an Icee and Reilly eats popcorn. Shikamaru joins them and sits to Gaara's right, opposite of Reilly.
Shikamaru: Did I miss anything?
(Shikamaru is 'shushed'.)
Shikamaru: Whispering Okay, okay!
Slick Rick approaches down stage left and faces the audience. He is accompanied by a large black man with a boom box. The man stands 2 yards away and turns on the boom box. A beat begins.
Slick Rick : In time with the beat
" Farwell, Love and all thy laws forever,-
Thy baited hooks shall tangle me no more;
Senec and Plato call me from thy lore,
Reilly: Oh, shit. It's all old English'n'shit.
Gaara: It's not that bad.
Shikamaru: Senec was a Roman Stoic and Philosopher. He specialized in Tragedy.
(Gaara and Reilly stare at Shikamaru for a brief second.)
Shikamaru: What? I went to college.
(Slick Rick continues.)
Slick Rick:
"To perfect wealth my wit for to endeavour.
In blind error when I did persever,
Thy sharp repulse, that pricketh aye so sore!
Hath taught me to set trifles no store
And- "
Reilly Laughing "Pricketh".
(Gaara and Shikamaru shush Reilly.)
Slick Rick:
"Scape forth since Liberty is lever,
Therefore farewell- Go trouble younger hearts,
And in me claim no more authority;
With idle youth go use thy property,
And thereon spend thy many brittle darts.
For hitherto though I have lost all of my time,
Me lusteth no longer rotten boughs to climb."
(Slick Rick bows. The music ends. The boys applaud as he exits the stage.)
Reilly: I didn't get all that.
Gaara: It's okay. He basically means- Shikamaru?
(Shikamaru laughs.)
Shikamaru: you look it up. I ain't tellin' you shit.
(Gaara pouts and turns back to Reilly.)
Gaara: He basically means that Shikamaru is a dork.
Shikamaru: Shut it.
(Reilly laughs.)
(Missy Elliot sits down next to Gaara.)
Missy: What'd I miss?
Gaara: Shikamaru's a dork.
Missy: (Frowns at Gaara.) That's not what Tamari said.
(Shikamaru coughs.)
Narrator: Thus concludes another episode of Masterpiece Theatre. West side, Biotch.
(Additional Credits roll over footage of the boys rough housing in the isles ala Jack Ass Style.)
