A/N: Heyo, so this is my first story which is a bit of a play on Maximum Ride, I did post a chapter of this before, but I decided to re write the entire story (Which was completed, more fun for me). I hope you enjoy this book anyway :)

Disclaimer: I don't own any sort of aspect related to Maximum Ride, because I'm not James Patterson. However, I do own all the characters.

"Wake up or you'll miss the food!" I heard as a shoe got thrown at me, I woke up in shock and thwacked the shoe out of the way,

"Phoenix? Isn't the shoe getting old? If you keep doing this I wouldn't be surprised if I pass out..." I muttered in annoyance, getting out of bed,

"You have already and this is all a fantasy, no worries" Phoenix grinned at me from the doorway, I gave her a death glare and her smile faded, before she ran back downstairs. I quickly got changed and ran down the stairs, I saw everyone at the table and they had been kind enough to leave some food for me, at least I hoped.

"I'm the last one again aren't I?" I assumed, sighing and sitting down,

"Surprisingly no, Alex is asleep, well, for now" Devon smirked evilly,

"You're lucky, we were going to put water over your head, but a shoe works" Ash said, I raised an eyebrow and took a piece of toast, whilst we skip this boring little bit, I'll take the time to introduce us.

Me, who is Robyn, 14, dark-ish red hair, green eyes, Phoenix, 14, lighter red hair, blue eyes, Devon, 14, blonde hair, grey eyes, Fabian, 15, black hair, brown eyes, Alex, 14, brown-blonde hair, green eyes, Ash, 12, brown hair, blue eyes and Sia or Sierra, whichever one, 12, brown hair and blue eyes as well. Now, within our group, there are siblings, Ash and Sia are twins, I'm their older sister, and Devon has a brother who, years ago, completely vanished, we have no idea where he is now, but we owe this house to him as he found it for us.

Now, here comes the big, more important bit.

We have wings. Let that register a bit, okay, good? Good. I'll brief the description so you don't get bored, I have black with white endings at 14ft, Phoenix has completely red at 15ft, Devon has bat wings instead of our kind of bird-like wings at 15ft, Fabian has black-brown at 14ft, Alex has dark brown with white spots at 15ft, Ash has tan-cream wings at 12ft and Sia has light brown at 12 ft as well.

And lastly, to finish the introductions, how we got our wings, somehow, they picked our parents in a 'They look okay, lets use them!' manner, give them a serum that was mixed with our bird or bat DNA when we were still in the early development stages, hidden as a 'new' drug that would 'help the baby be born healthier'. We were born and literally, about half an hour after birth, we were swapped with another baby, taken from somewhere, and took off to the labs. So that's the explanation sorted, lets continue on.
