"Hey Annabeth? Do you think I'm cool?" My friend Percy Jackson of almost 2 years asked me. I was sitting near the beach, enjoying how calm the waves are. Poseidon must be in a good mood today. It's the middle of July right now and after the quest on saving Artemis, Percy and I have become closer friends.
"Umm, Percy? What kind of question is that?"
"It's the normal kind Annabeth."
"Depends on what you mean Seaweed Brain."
"Am I cool?"
I thought about the question. Percy was nice, funny and an amazing friend, but was he cool?
"I can hear gears turning in your head Wise Girl" he laughed. I smiled and went back to my thoughts. I couldn't help but see him in the corner of my eye, staring at me intently. I blushed and put my head down.
"Yea, your cool Percy Jackson".
"HA! Annabeth Chase said I was cool!"
"Percy, what-" He took out a tape recorder from his pocket. I could hear myself repeating, "Your cool Percy Jackson."
"Percy, I swear to the gods I will kill you." The green-eyed boy saw how serious I was and started to get up.
"Annabeth...Annabetthh! Come on, I was just joking."
"Then give me the tape back."
"No. Friggin. Way." He grinned a toothy smile and with that, he started running.
"PERSEUS JACKSON! Get the Hades back here!"
