Preface

I took a deep breath and asked him, "Isn't there anything we can do?

He looked confused. "What do you mean exactly?"

"You know. Any way to undo this. To fix this." He still looked very confused. I tried again. "To make you human again. Like not a vampire."

The oddest thing happened. He burst out laughing.

"Emma, I'm happy with what I am. I should have known that you wanted the 'tortured soul'/ or self-hating' vampire. I'm not that. I love what I am. But, even of that wasn't so, there is nothing I, or anybody else for that matter, can do to change back into a human." Disappointment shot through my body like adrenaline, and sank in my stomach like a stone.

Before I could tell him that I couldn't handle this and that maybe we needed time apart, he pulled me forward and began kissing me. My body became disconnected from my mind and for some reason; I was kissing him back… I loved him so much…

Stop!

I pushed back on him as hard as I could. He was taken off balance and stumbled back. "What the hell Emma! Shit! What the hell do you think you're doing!" he screamed at me.

My vision went red. "I know exactly what I'm doing," I spat. "I don't know who or what you are, and frankly, I don't care! Get your hands off me and never touch me again!"

His fists clenched and his eyes went all squinty. "You really don't want to be doing this Emma."

"I can do whatever I want!"

Now he was yelling, "So do I mean NOTHING to you? AFTER ALL WE'VE BEEN THROUGH… NOTHING!?"

"THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'M SAYING! You're a disgusting monster! I don't want you, or anything to do with you! Just stay away, and we can forget that we ever knew each other and move on with our lives."

I turned away and started to walk towards my car.

I opened the car door and had just sat down when he grabbed my shoulder. I looked up to protest, but I stopped. Oh, no. I had never seen him this mad… I had never seen anyone this mad.

"That really hurt my feelings Emma," he snarled. "I can't believe you said I meant nothing to you…"

"Sorry," I whimpered. His grip on my shoulder was really starting to hurt.

His whole body was shaking in rage. "You think you can just walk away? You think you can reject me?"

He leaned in and whispered, "You think you can leave me? Well, you can't. You're mine and you can never leave."

End

AN: So this was posted a few years ago and I never finished it. I am editing it and putting it back up again and finishing it! Let me know what you think! My main focus is my other story, You Will Be the Death of Me, so this one won't get updated quite as often but it will be fairly often still.

If you haven't read You Will Be the Death of Me yet, you probably should. You don't have to, the story will still make sense even if you don't, but I wrote them to be read in that order. They take place at the same time, no neither is a prequel or a sequel.

I hope you enjoyed it, thanks for reading!
