The Unknown Room

Clara stepped lightly in this corridor. There were odds and ends lying everywhere, and she guessed that the Doctor wouldn't appreciate her breaking something. She had been stuck in the TARDIS for awhile now. Every once in a while she could see red lights flashing off in the distance, but after her last experience with them she decided not to bother.

Around the next corner was a long hallway. It was strikingly different from the rest of the inner workings of the TARDIS, while the rest of the ship looked mostly like a machine, this looked more like a residential hallway. There was a layer of dust everywhere. Either the Doctor hadn't been down here in a long time, or he didn't even know this corridor existed. At the end of the hallway was a red door, with wooden panels similar to the main door of the TARDIS.

"Well hello there…" Clara said. She seemed to have a habit of speaking to doors.

Clara walked slowly up to the door and put her ear against it. She heard muffled voices on the other side, and the sound of a crackling fire. She was so tempted to throw it open, but with what happened to the other door…

"Oh why not." Clara said to herself. Her hand slowly reached for the door.

"CLARA? CLARA?!" the Doctor's voice echoed from the opposite direction.

"Doctor?" Clara jerked away from the knob and sprinted towards the Doctor's voice.

John stood in front of the red door which he hadn't noticed before. He pulled at his tie while in thought.

"Well hello there…" he said to the door.

"John?" a voice called from the kitchen.

"Yeah Rose?" A beautiful blonde woman peeked her head around the corner.

"Are you ready to leave? We're going to be late."

"Yeah, just a sec. Hey darling, have you ever noticed this door before?" He placed his hand on the familiar wood paneling.

"No… Should we open it, Doctor?" she said with a sly grin.

"Nah. Lets keep it a mystery." Ten moved away from the door, "Come on now, we're going to be late!" He grabbed Rose's hand and they walked out their front door.
