"Tired?"

Ianto snorted as he placed in a vase a bunch of the fuchsia roses he'd trimmed from the garden. "Try shattered. I'm fairly sure I've done quite a lot more in a day, but I think I've really gotten spoiled. We're going to need a fitness room if we aren't going to be running down weevils and hoixes 6 days a week."

Jack nodded. "Agreed. How about a nice, hot bath?"

"Brilliant idea. I'll get the wine."

Jack gave Ianto a peck on the lips and then hurried upstairs to run a bath with plenty of relaxing salts. After a couple minutes, Ianto appeared with a cold bottle of wine and two glasses.

Jack grinned, taking the bottle and glasses and setting them on the counter. "Have I mentioned how gorgeous you are?" he said, settling his hands on Ianto's waist.

"You likely have, but I probably wasn't listening," Ianto smirked, stroking Jack's cheek as he leaned in for a kiss.

Jack growled at the tease. "Well, listen now. You are gorgeous. And I am so in love with you."

"Feeling's mutual," Ianto said softly.

"Mastering the understatement again?" Jack said, slowly unbuttoning Ianto's shirt. "You know, you could wear a t-shirt in the garden…."

"Why would I do that?"

Jack smiled. "You wouldn't. Some people would because it's casual. Work clothes and all. But not my Mr. Jones."

"And what about my Captain Harkness and his braces?" Ianto asked, slipping them off Jack's shoulders.

"Look works, though, doesn't it?" Jack grinned.

"Give me the wine and get in the bath," Ianto said.

"Is that a 'no'?" Jack pouted.

"It's a 'there's one look I like better….'"

Jack grinned and complied, shedding his clothes quickly to follow Ianto into the hot bath.

"You're gorgeous, too," Ianto said, passing Jack a glass of chilled white merlot and taking a kiss.

"I'll try to stay that way for you," Jack winked.

Ianto rolled his eyes and settled back in the soothing hot water that smelled of a spring garden. He was so glad they'd had the en suite refitted with the bigger bath as soon as bought the house. Jack had anticipated wanting it to be in by the time they got to doing the heavy work around the house and garden and he'd been right.

"Hey, Jack?" Ianto said after a while, "You know I love you as well, yeah?"

"You know I do," Jack smiled. "And I'm the luckiest guy in the world because of it."

"Hey Jack…," Ianto said, rubbing Jack's thigh under the water.

"Yes, dear?" Jack grinned.

"I may be exhausted, but I reckon there's some things I could get up to… in a slow, lazy kind of way."

Jack's grin widened. "Slow and lazy is nice after a long, hot bath."

Ianto snuggled in against Jack and took a sip of wine. "Far cry from those quick shags we used to get in between Rift alerts."

"Those days are done," Jack promised.

"You miss it?"

"In some ways. I loved what we did, but it was my life for a hundred years. I reckon I'm good for at least the next hundred. You?"

Ianto was thoughtful for a moment. "I loved it, too, but I loved it because it made me feel useful, like I'd found my place in the world. And I haven't given that feeling up at all," he said, squeezing Jack's knee.

"I found my place in the world, too. Just when I'd started to think there wasn't one."

"There will be as long as I'm around," Ianto said from Jack's shoulder.
