We were outside the room where the battle was raging the screams of the people were unbearable. Ron started to the door,
"Ron, wait" I said
"Hermione I have to go don't try to stop me" he said
"Why Ron? Why do you have to leave me?" I asked
"I just do I have to help Harry" He said
"Well then I am coming with you" I said, I was not letting him go alone.
"Hermione, no. I thought we agreed on this you were going to stay here" He said turning to me.
"No, you agreed I never did." I said.
"Hermione" He said taking my hand. "I can't lose you please stay here" He pleaded.
I agreed reluctantly, I would stay here for now...
........
The battle had not ceased and I could stand being left in the dark no longer I left the room Ron had left me in and entered the battle myself.
"Ron" I called, I had to make sure he was alright.
"Ron, where are you?" I called once more.
I saw him then duelling Draco Malfoy. I started to run to him.
"Ron" I called for what seemed like the millionth time.
Then I suddenly felt myself flying through the air; I barely had time to notice this before I hit the wall. Bits of stone crumpled down around me. Ron noticed this he left his duel to come to me. He reached me. Draco saw this as an opportunity.
"Crucio" He bellowed.
Ron fell to the ground in pain, he withered and jerked around. I couldn't stand the sight of him being tortured.
"Stop, STOP" I screeched in sobs.
"What would you give to make me stop" Draco laughed darkly.
"Anything" I sobbed.
"Would you give your life?" He asked.
"Yes" I gasped.
Draco stopped; he had a look of confusion or was it something else on his face. His split second pause was enough I disarmed him and grabbed Ron and took him to an empty room.
"Ron wake up" I said
"Hermione" he mumbled.
He opened his eyes.
"Hermione" He said more clearly. He looked at me.
"Hermione, you weren't supposed to enter the battle" He said with a little bit of anger in his voice.
"Ron I had to, do you have any idea what it was like not knowing?" I said
"I'm sorry" He said looking down.
That's when Beletrix Lestrange opened the door and grabbed Ron by the hair pointing her wand at his throat.
Ron's P.O.V
Beletrix grabbed my hair and I felt her wand against my skin, I felt so stupid being the one that needs saving.
"Let him go" said Hermione "kill me instead"
"No Hermione, don't, run!" I yelled.
"No, Ron I couldn't live without you" she said. "Take me I'm the mudblood"
Beletrix smiled and threw me to the floor. She pointed her wand at Hermione.
"No Hermione, NO" I yelled/
"Avada Kedavra" said Beletrix. And Hermione dropped to the floor her eyes glassy and lifeless.
Beletrix had not had time to react when I preformed the same curse on her, so there I stood, surrounded by two bodies. One incident, one guilty, One good one bad, On loved, one feared both dead.
Flash-forward to Hermione's funeral.
I found a note addressed to me from Hermione. It was written before the final battle she wrote it just in case she didn't make it, which she didn't.
Dear Ron,
I have loved you ever since we first met on the train I just didn't realize it until we didn't have much time together. Ron I don't want you to be too sad over me I will always be with you, I will always live in your memories. Just do one thing for me, live a happy full life, don't waste it, or one day it might be gone and you won't have had time to do anything useful. Remember live life to the fullest, life is short and you dead a long time. I will love you forever.
Your best friend,
Hermione.
