Summary: Riley's having a bad day but wont tell Maya why, so Maya tries to cheer her up by drawing her a story. Maya writes about a princess falling in love with her prince and Riley turns around and says "what if I want to be with a princess now, what if I don't want to be with a prince anymore?" and Maya smiles and says "Then a princess it shall be."

"RIles! Riles, Listen to me!" Maya chased after the crying brunette. Maya continued to follow her up the stairs of the apartment complex. "Riley!" With that Riley had tripped, and fell back onto Maya.

"Honey, what's wrong?" The tears on Riley's face refused to stop falling as she sniffled, "today is just a bad day." Maya carried Riley to her room, "you don't deserve bad days Rileytown." "I k-know."

Riley continued to sob as Maya put her down on her bed. "Maya, what are you doing?" "I'm putting you on your bed, duh." "Why?" "When I feel bad, I usually feel better if I sleep for a little."

"Peaches, are you usually sad?" "I don't have great parents like you Riley. You know my dad left, and my mom, well, she isn't always there. Plus, there are other things that just, make me feel down..."

"Either way, that doesn't matter. What can I do to make you feel better?" "Draw me a book Maya!" "Whatever you want."

Maya got to drawing a book. When it was done, Riley was tucked into her purple sheets and waiting for Maya. "I finished it Riley." "Yayyy!"

Maya began to read:

Once upon a time, there was beautiful brunette princess, know as Princess Sunshine. All around the kingdom she was known for being the happiest and most loving girl out there.

One day she was sad, the town was having a drought. Unable to fix it she cried and cried. However, a prince rode into town, carrying gallons of water for the town. In exchange for the water and helping the town, he asked for the princess's hand in marriage.

The princess had fallen in love with the prince and had obliged. With that, the town never had droughts or food shortages again, and the two lived happily ever after.

Maya finished, to hear, "but what if Princess Sunshine doesn't want a prince, what if she wants a princess?" "Then, a princess it shall be." This time Riley had drawn in the last page, replacing the prince with blonde haired, blue eyed, best friend princess.

The ending was different this time:

When the prince asked for her hand she refused. She had said she had someone she had wanted to marry for a long time. Her best friend, Princess Peaches, from another kingdom, one with even more resources for the town.

She rode to the other kingdom and asked for the hand of the blonde beauty. The two lived happily ever after.

Riley had read the part she had put in. Maya could feel tears in her eyes, not of sadness, but of joy. "Wow Riles, that was a great story." "It sure was Peaches, but I have a question." "What is it?" "Will you be my Princess Peaches?"

Maya nodded, tears in her eyes. Then, found soft lips against hers. "I love you Princess Peaches." "I love you too Princess Sunshine."
