zneeze's Notes: This is my first time collaborating on a story here, and I'm very excited to be working on "Beyond the Waterfall" with showtunediva! She and I will be trading between odd and even chapters, respectively. I was fortunate to learn about Children of Eden while in high school several years ago. I played Shem and understudied Adam in my school production, and the show's diverse music is pretty gorgeous. We highly recommend seeing this show if you can!

showtunediva's Notes: Finally ready to break away a little from writing Annie stories! I recently saw Children of Eden put on by a local theatre group and Japheth and Yonah were my favorite couple in the play. This focuses on how their relationship develops after the end of the play. My fellow collaborator and myself do not own rights to any Children Of Eden characters.

Japheth reached out to hug his father tightly.

"I'm going to miss you and Mom so much, Dad. I love you both so much."

Noah handed Japheth his staff. "Take this with you on your journey. It has been in our family for generations."

Yonah glanced at the long walking stick. "Really? You mean it used to be Adam's?"

Noah nodded. "That's correct."

Mama Noah reached out to hug her son and new daughter-in-law. "We're always here for you all no matter what."

Japheth and Yonah headed west to where the waterfall and tree of knowledge were. This was where they would make their home. Based on the stories of Adam and Eve's courtship, they had heard they knew to avoid the apples at all costs.

Yonah squeezed Japheth's hand tightly. "I can't believe we're married."

Japheth returned the squeeze. "Our life together will me nothing short of fantastic. It's really sad to leave my parents though. It was hard to say goodbye to them."

Yonah nodded. "Yes, it was. Do you remember everyone's reaction when they first found out we were together?"

"Yes I do. It definitely took a while for them to warm up to the idea."

"I love you, Japheth," Yonah whispered.

"I love you too sweetheart," Japheth replied, kissing her cheek softly.
