? POV
There was simply infinite darkness, or so it seemed to the immortal being falling endlessly through it. It had been sleeping for billions of years. It had recently begun to wake up, about a year ago. Now it slowly lifted one eyelid, revealing an eye as black as the void it was falling through. It sensed something interesting. A small but evident change in the energy field that would allow it to grow more powerful then ever before. It spread its wings wide to stop its eternal fall, and began the impossibly long journey back to the surface.
Endermen POV
They felt each others collective sadness, watching the fallen form of their "King". The ruler had no successor. The Staff would chose one soon. Sometimes, the Staff made decisions no one understood, but none of them would have guessed who the leader would be this time.
Ivy's POV
I became aware that I was suspended in darkness. I realized that I could remember nothing from my past, well, I could, but it was slipping away to quickly to save anything. And then I wasn't floating anymore. I was lying on the ground. I carefully opened my eyes. Instantly I knew where I was. How could I not know? Minecraft. Land of strange pixelated ground made from cubes. Wait. This wasn't normal Minecraft. I was in… The End? It looked different, but it was still recognizably The End. I stood up carefully and looked around. I almost fell over. Behind me, there was a huge city, with an immense wall around it. There were four gates, which looked like they hadn't been used in a very long time. However, the city didn't seem to be abandoned. There were taller buildings that I could see over the wall, and they looked almost new. I was probably dreaming, but I usually wake up when I realize that, and this didn't feel like a dream. I remembered a rule I used to tell myself: If something is amazing and is probably a dream, just go along with it. If you question it, it will stop happening. I decided to go closer to one of the gates. I needed to get close to the wall. I wondered if this could possibly be a city of Endermen. Why else would it be here? Maybe the mobs were more intelligent then most people thought. I was almost to the gate.
