Chapter One; Twiright Prank
Rin tripped and started to cry.
'It's okay,' said Len, 'It's surely just a prank by the naughty twilight.'
Rin looked up and said, 'We must return home soon, before it gets dark.'
Len nodded and helped her up.
They walked along the lake, and by the horizon was the devil sneering evilly and he said, 'Let me swallow you into my black belly so that we can play together!'
'We must return home soon, before we get eaten.' said Len as he walked faster.
'That small chest that we hid in the sandy beach?' asked Rin, 'Where is it?'
'It has been engulfed by the night's darkness,' answered Len, 'Don't worry, it can no longer be found.'
They walked further.
'Let's divide the twilight between the two of us!' said Rin suddenly, 'I'll be the daytime.'
'And I'll be the night-time, that's brilliant, now we don't have to go home!' said Len glad.
'And when we hold hands, we make a beautiful orange sky.' said Rin while she grabbed his hand.
In the distance they heard the bells of the church chiming three times.
'The devil is waking up…' said Rin scared.
'Don't worry, I'll protect you.'
'He keeps looking at us with that greedy look on his face.' she said to Len, and to the devil: 'I will not share my snack with you!'
The devil put on a wretched look and said, 'But, I'm so hungry. I am always hungry, even if I was to swallow the whole world, my belly still won't be full.'
Len felt really sorry for him so he shared his snack.
'Thank you, noble prince. To repay your generosity, I'll tell you a little secret about this ocean.'
'Thank you,' said Len to the devil.
'Can I know it too?' asked Rin.
'I'll tell you later, don't worry.' answered Len, 'It is truly a wonderful secret.'
Together they walked home.
