Whoah a wild fanfic

Hiiiiii guys! I finished watching Attack on Titan for the second time and was hit by writer's inspiration to do an OC story for it! Tell me if it should continue or not, but I have a lot of ish going on this month, so cross your fingers I'll see it.

ENJOY (I don't own SNK)

"On that day, humanity received a grim reminder of the terror of being ruled by them.

The humiliation of being kept in a cage."

"Zoë!" The shrill voice of a young woman screeched, making the chickens outside squawk loudly in protest. The girl in question rolled her eyes and trudged inside the small Ziganshina home she shared with her sister, Hallie.

"What is it?!" Zoë, a girl about twelve years old asked annoyedly, poking her curly red head inside the door. Hallie gave her a half-hearted glare. "Forgetting something?" She asked mildly, pointing to a wooden crate next to the door with the ladle she was furiously scrubbing. "Oh, shoes!" Zoë smiled while hastily putting on the boots she had gotten last year as a birthday present from her neighbors the Yeager's- they had definitely come in handy these past months while caring for the pigs. "Honestly," Hallie sighed, putting down the ladle after a thorough inspection. "I don't know how you'll make it in the real wor-" She turned around to look at the girl and sighed again. Zoë was already gone.

"So. Bored." The redhead groaned with her back leaned against the stone wall of someone's house. So far she had finished apprenticing for the day at the doctor's, walked around the whole town looking for somebody to hang around with (to no avail) and bought a loaf of bread for her sister. Just as Zoë's eyes were shutting though, the sound of bells ringing interrupted her almost nap.

"The Survey Corps must be back..." She mused curiously, standing up and brushing dirt from her old blue dress. She began the short walk to the walls, masking her shaking hands by clutching the bread until her knuckles were white.

As Zoë came into the square, she saw a few villagers standing on the edges of the streets, making way for the soldiers. She scurried to one side so she could stand on a crate in order to see better, joined soon after by her neighbors, Eren and Mikasa, who clambered easily beside her.

"Look!" Eren whisper shouted excitedly. "They're back!"

Zoë was suddenly very attentive to a scuff on her boot. She hated that look he got whenever the Scouts returned- it reminded her of her and Armin's parent's curiosity towards the outside. The same kind that had gotten them killed by the Titans only a day into the journey. The outside world wasn't all that great, and these soldiers were only proof. She knew Mikasa felt the same way- she always got more bitter when the subject was brought up.

WHACK!

A loud noise freed Zoë from her thoughts, reflexes forcing her to look straight at the parade taking place just feet away. She barely noticed that Eren was shouting at an old man. Heck, she hardly noticed anyone else. A wounded soldier stared straight at her, unblinking while the cart he rode in moved slowly onward. She looked at him quizzically, also not breaking eye contact. He never moved a muscle, just laid there seemingly peaceful, even after the apparent massacre. His cart soon rolled out of view, but was quickly replaced by another, this time the staredown coming from a young woman wrapped almost completely in gauze.

It took her about five seconds to realize they were both dead.

Woot! I am very proud of this so far. Tell me what ya'll think!
