trinarobbie&confusion

-love is neither epic nor wonderful-

You easily can recall the day Trina Vega kissed you. It was fireworks and rainbows and a pounding in your chest that you couldn't really place. It was the sweetest fruit and the best paradise and a Shakespearian play.

That was the day you fell in love.

And maybe Trina Vega fell a little bit in love with you, too, that day.

-kind of like a shakespearian play-

{but Shakespeare's works always end in a tragedy}

.&.

-it is said that those who hate passionately, love passionately-

"Stay away from me, Robbie Shapiro! You're such a freak!" she yells at you loudly, staring at you with wide, unbelieving eyes. And then softer: "You're going to ruin my reputation. Would you want that to happen?" She says these things so seductively that it's really not fair. She is confusing you.

"Okay," you answer, not really knowing what to say but wanting to hear her voice again just once more.

She reminds you a lot of Jade when she screams, "I hate you!" in response.

Then you remember that you loved Jade West before Trina Vega.

It kind of totally ruins the mood.

-although, sometime, those who hate do not love at all-

{you hurt me so with your words}

.&.

-there are pessimists, there are optimists, and then there are those who are both-

"She won't go for you, you know," Rex tells you.

"Of course she will," you say, pushing up your glasses.

"Yeah, sure. The reject nerd with the pretty girl who can't act. You're the perfect power couple."

"I don't believe you," you say unconvincingly.

"Liar."

-of course, pessimists are too cynical, optimists too bubbly, and there are none of the mix-

{i'll never be perfect enough for you}

.&.

-there are those who are born to do things, and there are those that force themselves to-

You go over to Trina's house because you're supposed to be practicing for a scene tomorrow. Except Tori's out with her new boyfriend at the moment and her parents are at some smancy spa place, so you take the spare Tori gave you and open the door.

You find the love of your life scribbling on a pad of paper, and she's so into it that she doesn't notice you open the door. You creep silently and look over her shoulder. In her messy scrawl are the words:

like a bird with broken wings,

she cries out.

like a lost sheep,

there is no one to hear.

for in a crow's song,

and butterfly façade

she lies—

The book closes, suddenly, and you blink rapidly, as if trying to clear your head.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" she demands, staring at you with that "wtf" face.

"Did you just curse?" Of course, you should say that first. She gives you a look. "Please don't kill me. I was just supposed to work with Tori, except she wasn't in, but I didn't know that and . . ." Oh great, now you're rambling.

Now she knows why you're here, and knows that it wasn't to be a creeper, so she goes to ignoring you completely. It's like you no longer exist anymore. It's a world of Trina, Trina, and only Trina, where she can be everything she is and more.

But this girl, she transports herself to heaven with the swoop of a pen. You love a girl with a poet's soul.

"Well? Get out."

You hide in the bushes anyways.

-yet gifts can be turned into a curse in an instant-

{can anyone see that she's crying out}

.&.

-there are dreams disguised as nightmares and day disguised as night-

"I'll never love you," Trina tells you harshly. "I have a boyfriend, dweeb."

"Ha ha," Rex mocks, "told ya."

You run and scream and hope you'll wake up.

You don't.

-because fairytales are nothing but lies-

{ill always love you}
