I don't own HP. Obviously.

Fireworks

She flipped a grin back at him, her smile almost as bright as the fireworks. Her small hand darted out of the crowds and grabbed his, pulling him through the masses to the front. The red head was gazing up at the stars and the twinkling stars. Teddy's heart ached, his hair changing colour like the exploding lights in the sky, never settling, but always returning to that same flaming red, going unnoticed by the mobs of Muggles, all too preoccupied with the display to take note of his ever shifting mop of hair. Once again, the petite girl, with stars in her eyes caught his attention.

She was beautiful.

She was his sister.

Not by blood, but they'd grow up together. He'd held her in his arms when she was born. He'd wiped off her knees when she fell from her broom. He'd loved her from the day he knew that there was going to be another addition to the Weasley clan. Her brother would kill him, if he knew how Teddy felt, and the extended family too. Cousins, uncles, aunts. And her father. He'd made it perfectly clear that if Teddy were to lie a single hand on his daughter then all hell would break lose. Teddy was twenty-seven, and an Auror with a respectable arrest record, but he still quaked in his boots when the strong man gave him the look. That 'are you looking at my little girl?' look. It was almost as if his eye could pierce Teddy soul.

She pulled on his arm again. Her other hand was in a bag of candyfloss, digging out scoops of it and putting them in her mouth. The whole evening she'd been jumping up and down, so excited about the fireworks display, despite having seen it every year since she was three. The bonfire was dying out now, and the fake Guys were burnt. People were starting to leave. She dragged Teddy away from the crowds, into the woods. His heart beat faster. What was she doing? Beaming, she pulled her wand from her pocket, and trailed it through the air.

"Look Teddy." She whispered, as golden sparks flew, similar to the ones from the firework display. Her wand (Rosewood, 10 ΒΌ", dragon heartstring core, good for transfiguration) glowed silver.

"Isn't it beautiful?"

Looking into her deep blue eyes, Teddy replied.

"Yeah," he murmured, "yeah, you are."
