I woke this morning in a cold sweat. Man i had that dream again. I thought as I pealed my self off the bed. I check my alarm clock to see it blinking twelve. I walk into the living room and check the cable box it read 7:30.
"Shit." I said as I ran back to my room ."I'm going to be late for school." I grabbed a clean t-shirt from my closet and through some pants on. Then grabbed my bag and key and bolted out the front door. My car was parked right in front of the lawn. I jumped in and started it up. As I started to turn off my street my phone went off I checked the screen it said, my best friend Kayla. "What up?" I said.
" The sky." She said
"Oh my gosh you know what I mean. So has class started yet?" I asked
"Lucky for you no but I would say you got about five,ten minutes before it will. So you better haul ass and get here." She said half laughing.
" Don't rush me. I can only go as fast as this piece will take me." I said laughing "Ok I'll see you then bye."
"Bye." I hung up and threw the cell on the seat. fuck I need to hurry. damn traffic. The cars on the roads are jammed packed. As I finally pulled into the school I look at the time 8:10. Thank god I made it. I grabbed my bag and ran inside. I hurried down the halls to my 1st hour. I turned the corner to my class I say Kayla out side the door.
" Hurry the bells about to ring." I ran through the doors right as the bell rang. Me and Kayla went to take our seats at the back of the classroom.
" So why were you late?" She asked me I took a sec to catch my breath and said. "I over slept. There must have been a power surge last night because my alarm was off."
" That's weird cause my was the same way. If my mom had not got me up I would still be in bed" She said. I gave her a curious look
"Why would yours' be out we live four miles apart. That does not make any sense." She nodded. "You two in the back I hope that your talking about the new essay that's due in a week. Cause if not you will miss what I'm about to say." We both looked up and got to work on passing notes instead. Finally the bell rings and the day steadily gets more boring till last hour. I'm sitting there in Chemistry when Kayla texts me.
Hey how's Chem going? I look up to make sure was at her desk still. She was.
Boring as every day y? I replied suddenly curious as to why she would have texted me in class cause she almost never did.
Just was thinking about this morning. And about how weird what u said was.

cause I checked with some of my friends who live next door and their clocks were fine. Yeah that's right my cable box was fine to come to think of it.

Sure see u in ten. I clicked my phone off and put it up. I got back to work till the final bell rang. I grabbed my bag and walked to my car. When I walk up to my small pt cruser I text Kayla.

No mom said that I cant she wants us to go to grandmas for the weekend sorry :(
Ur fine good luck I flipped the cell shut. Great just what I fucking needed. I turned the car off and jumped out and ran to the house. "Mom,Dad I'm home!" I yelled as I walked in. No answer weird. I Pulled my cell out of my pocket and dialed moms cell. Mom picked up on the second ring.
"Hello?"
"Mom. where yall at?"
" Wall-mart. We'll be home in about 20 so just grab a snack."
"Ok mom love you bye."
"Love you to bye." I hung up and set the cell down as I flopped on the couch. I reached over to grab the remote when a hand came over my mouth and I passed out.
