Hey Guys!

I hope you enjoy the first chapter of my new story!

Prologue

It was almost morning and Ha-Joon Lee, the major of Republic City sat at his desk waiting for *them* to come. He sat alone in his office, watching the grandfather clock tick by the seconds. The only light source was a candle on his desk. All of his employees and assistance went home early and he told them he would do extra paperwork so it wasn't odd when he would go home. 'Honestly', he thought. Couldn't they have done this earlier, he has a meeting in the morning. He sighed, 'Guess this came with the job.' He then felt a cold chill down his spine. They were here. "Ezhno."

"Mayor."

Three hooded figures now stood in the center of the room. They lined up in a straight line equal from one another. All of them dressed in black and each of them had a colored band around their waist representing the element of which they bend, excluding non-benders who don't wear a band at all.

The mayor has met many people from their organization, or whatever they call it. They have been sending messages and have been frequently popping up in private life ever since he became mayor three years ago. The mayor before him warned him about them, he should have listened.

The man who stood in the center stepped forward towards his desk. He wears a blue cloth, indicating he is a water-bender. Ha-Joon knows him as 'Ezhno', he has never shown his face, but he has been there working with major since the beginning.

"What is it you want now? I've been very busy lately, I don't need your damn-"

"Patience old friend. It is merely a request we want to suggest to you."

Ha-Joon slowly moved his chair away from his desk as Ezhno stepped closer. "What is it?"

"It has been fifteen years since we *eliminated* Kai. It is time to find the next avatar, who should be an Earth-bender this time around. We want you to keep an eye out for any...signs."

Ha-Joon gave Ezhno a cold hard stare. "Why? Why is it so critical for your 'team' to hunt the Avatar, these past few months all you have been mysteriously asking for is files for people could have been the Avatar just by luck, but now you ask me to properly look for them. I want a reason, Ezhno. The last known recorded Avatar was Korra, who died a little over a hundred years ago, people have stopped believing in the Avatar after the White Lotus failed to find the Avatar after Korra died-"

Ha-Joon wanted to ramble on more, but he felt a piercing glare from Ezhno's hood and decided to stop.

"Mayor Lee," Ezhno began. "It is not the time for the Blood Lotus to reveal all of our plans to you or our other associates. But I will say this..."

Ha-Joon stiffened as Ezhno made one stepped closer and leaned in, showing Ha - Joon the penetrating blue eyes underneath.

"The Avatar must be eliminated for us to achieve true harmony and to put our plans into fruition. And we will not stop until that happens and we need you for it to progress, otherwise, well you know what will happen... "

"...Do I make myself clear?"

I hope you guys enjoy the prologue to the story. This Prologue is to help the story provide tension and to introduce the enemy, so the main character is not in it yet but she will be the next chapter! Please leave a comment down if I did ok!

One more thing, I'm going to try and leave a little bit of information down for each character or place so you can imagine the story a bit better.

Ha-Joon - (Korean. "Summer") Mayor of Republic City. He is a Fire-bender but doesn't practice techniques. He is a very loving father to his only daughter, Adara. He has dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

Ezhno - (Native American. "The one who lives in solitary) Ezhno is a Water-Bender. He is a character I really want to mature and I can't wait to see his character develop through out the story.
